Have you ever requested a nerf?
Hi all,
Always wondered what the general age was of people genuinely posting on this forum about nerfs.
Just hit which bracket you fall in to, thanks :)
[spoiler]NB. Nerfs requested as satire do not count[/spoiler]
Edit 1 (6/12): if you partake please like so I can gauge the number of responses
Edit 2 (7/12): nice to see so many responses (albeit the majority of them appearing to be false!) to a poll that clearly misses out 20 y/o and categorises 28 y/o in to two age brackets (Y). If you fall in to these age ranges, just put it where you want #YOLO.
My view on nerfs:
Although I largely disagree with majority of nerf posts (those from people not wanting to change their playstyle) I do agree that if a gun is genuinely OP (i.e. Outperforming what Bungie intended in range and damage) nerfs should be requested.
Otherwise it would mean Bungie would have to exclusively monitor performance theirselves which would move resources from larger issues
I've never requested a nerf as I'm not a big PvPer as I prefer PvE - it's less intense and easier to wind down with after a long day. But in saying that: any legitimate OP PvP nerfs shouldn't transcend in to PvE

Weapons should be buffed, not nerfed.

Honestly, I'd rather they buffed all the weapons. The only people who ask for nerfs are pvp'ers who died because of a certain gun. Pve'ers want stronger weapons.

I'd generally trust bungie (or whatever company is running the game) to have internal metrics that let them better judge a weapon or ability far better than the anecdotal evidence from forum goers).

1 ReplyFak. Didn't know the numbers were age. Thought it was how many nerfs people requested...Don't ask I can't brain right now. Anyway i'm 21. I've asked for 2 nerfs. VM before it was ever nerfed (think it's fine now) and something to be done about fusion rifles.

I've never asked for a nerf on any gun. I've won't deny that some guns are more powerful than others and may have the potential to be overpowered but I've never directly asked for a nerf on anything.

Yes, but it was no nerf everyones guns but mine. Then maybe ill have a chance in crucible. So i think it was a fair request lol

The only nerf I ever requested and got behind was the original myhtoclast. It truly was broken on PvP but fantastic on PvE. But then they did to much and made it almost useless until the recent changes... Other than that I have not had any problems with guns/armor/abilities on any class.

I requested that science nerf oxygen. Its to OP. Stupid ppl keep using it to not die.
