Ideas

Not sure if any from Bungie will read this but let's see what the rest of you who do read and respond think: When it comes to enemies, such as the Gorgon, did anyone else expect to face a gigantic mechanical serpent of some kind? I thought I'd be facing something which would devour your character (insta kill) but saw only a Harpy which suffered from frostbite. Why not have a larger variety of enemies and species? Perhaps something that does not have a humanoid shape in any degree whatsoever that is not a re-skin of an already existing NPC? Next, the tower. Why is it that so much if it is blocked off? It's be nice if you could access say, you're own personal quarters which holds an extended vault. If armor is a concerns or weapons and losing them, why not have a larger storage? 50 for each existing category as well as extra fields: Armor - 50 slots Weapons - 50 slots with a category roster to select such as Hand Cannons. Them you can view each of your hand cannons or select a different filter to view other weapon types. Materials - 50 slots (spirit bloom etc. ammo synthesis. Miscellaneous - 50: Telemetries, glimmer boosts. Ships - 25 Shaders - 25 Also, why can't we change our characters in the tower? Think on it: instead of returning to the character select screen (after a loading screen) you can head to the tower, to your personal quarters, and change your character without even leaving the tower. I think it's better than heading to the title screen after a cutscene only to re-enter another loading screen, them return to orbit. Followed by selecting where to go next (oh the tower-which you just left) to enter another loading screen and them to finally land in the tower after about 10-20 seconds. Why is the tower only set in fall? Can't other seasons be visible? The bounty tracker speaks of The Gulf of New Mexico. Also Chicago, London, some place on mercury (mercury as I heard from a friend), and I believe New Orleans or Michigan. Will we ever be able to explore those areas? Resetting gear...no. Just no. You are losing the materials put into said gear in order to buff it with no return of any of the 12-16 (or 18) shards/energies you put into the said weapon or armor. That said, if it is the case, no one ever should have leveled their exotic gear in the first place. Else, if they are reset, ALL INVESTING MATERIALS, should be returned to you so that the blow is not that devastating. Cutscenes: why can't we see our Fireteam in cutscenes? It'd be nice to have them exchange scripted ideas to and fro and formulate a plan opposed to only one guardian being shown. Customization: I've a decent if not good idea here (I'll use other games in this example as well): --In soul Calibur V, you were introduced to (in terms of character customization) the sizing of hips, arms, different eyebrows, and even patterns/tattoos that you could place on an edited or created character's body. Same goes for shapes, cuts, stitches, and healed gashes. I'd like to have a system where it'd cost: 100 glimmer to change your face, hair, eyes, eyebrows or to add a tattoo. 200 for skin complexion. 500 for race change. 1000 for gender change. Is also like to choose my character's height and other body changes-thigh, foot size, hairstyle, hair length. Also, seeing that Dregs can roam about space with their hair freely flowing, why not have a hairstyle that resembles that? Dragon's Dogma also had this feature but slightly different. You selected a preset of bodily shapes for arms, torso, and legs. While SC (soul Calibur) it was free to edit your character (in terms in in-game currency, DD (dragon's dogma) you paid gold to alter this or that - unless you bought a certain item during post game. With these features, if you had enough in game currency, you could continuously alter your character (from the tower no less) and your Ghost can even be the stylist. Else, it be Eva. This would give her greater purpose. Next, some weapons look awesome. I personally like Lock Arête. If you could dismantle two weapons (of any rarity) - basically, if you break down to exotics and choose to fuse them, you could select perks from each weapon and incorporate those selected perks into the new weapon of your choosing. This would mean that perks which can appear on an exotic are available to said forged weapon. EX: The Last Word and The Devil you Know. Give TDYK fan-fire with a modified appearance being what you choose, say half and half of each weapon in detail. Further more, you could name your newly forged weapon. I'd pick "The Devil's Law" or something. If the weapon is reforged, it will take on the tier (common/uncommon/rare/legendary/exotic) with the most development. If both are equally developed, then it's the player's choice as to which tier they desire. (Not everyone will choose exotic-some may want legendary in order to hold a different exotic as their special (if their primary was reforged). Ghost's voice: add a 5-10 dollar charge for a new voice. Manuela Hidalgo's (resident evil, dark side chronicles) voice actor or maybe even Light Yagami's voice actor. Claire Redfield's original voice actor. Maybe even Grigori's voice actor, David Lodge from Dragon's Dogma. Shaders: the glimmer or exotic shard or ascendant materials, as a price to create your very own shader. With a tutorial and self-apply (which means piece by piece armor shading) to give you more control over what's colored. In-game trading amongst players. Before you say no, consider that this is exotic for exotic. Else, exotic for 2 legendaries (weapons or armor). Exotic gear cannot be traded with any gear or weapon under legendary. (Though I hate the restriction, someone is bound to say "no because then someone else will have that weapon!" But likely the one complaining of that is pissed due to them not receiving it. Reason I say this is due to running raid after raid and getting nothing - you can say tough shit, but in the end, I never received any other type of raid armor. Not even a ship or a weapon. I only got chatter white and aspect of glass-which was destroyed out of frustration and is not missed. Some people have 5 vex mythoclasts. They want another exotic but haven't found it. This could help both parties if the unlucky helps the other who has spare mythoclasts. Designing your own armor. Honestly, I like Argus Deimatic 1.1.0. The transceivers look pretty awesome. They'd look great on the Atrolord Boots along with Article Proxy. I'd like to edit or alter my armor to stand out and give it more variety. The same method for exotic weapons and breakdown basically. Ships: I'd like to build my own. To make a ship look like Spike Spiegel's. It'd be nice is you could build your own or use a pre-made one tgat you found or earned. Ships could also be traded, same as materials and weapons/armor and other items. If in a group, Fireteam and the last guardian is standing, a player uploaded theme, under a set mob size should play. Also, your song can be changed on the fly (from the tower) and uploaded from your system. User provided could keep people interested and more apt to survive while listening to their favorite song. Of course, there would also be a filter to mute said music as well if it's disliked. Along side that, a replay function for said song. Additional races would be a nice touch. This ties in with the function of changing your character for a glimmer fee. More voice actors for said characters would be interesting as well. Custom actions. Like pointing, a different way to sit (which can be selectable and changed via the settings screen or possibly L2/LT or R2/RT. More gestures, if you will. The D-pad could be altered with various functions, such as an ammo synthesis use to avoid hitting the start button. The third subclass should be for whichever element is not present on the character. Solar for Titan, Arc for Warlock, and Void for Hunter. That said, you should allow a mixture of both subclasses (player choice) in order to build the final class itself. The name will be Bungie deemed, but the perks, player chosen and once the choices are made, be asked to seal the class and this, begin to level that class up. Trading with vendors: if you want to trade with a vendor, say, legendary greaves for a legendary helmet, it should fall to the armor or weapons progress and rarity if the vendor will accept it. However, once traded, the item you have can not be retrieved (meaning, you trade shadow price for steel oracle--you could buy another steel oracle, but the one you traded can will be lost. This means you could trade with Xür, Zavala, Holliday (that accent) or any other vendor. The tier would have to be at least legendary in order to work. Deleted characters: if you delete a character, and make a new one with the same class type, why not have your progress in factions halved? (You want to remake your character basically) that way, we won't be forced to stick with previous character choices and design choices due to faction rep. New weapon types: Pistols, 9 millimeter or a beretta. Something if the like. Using either one or two at the same time (I can see my Hunter doing this) A chain gun as a heavy weapon. Your enemies weapon even. I'd like to use the Hive Boomer - but I'd call it Boomstick. SMGs maybe? Well, that's all I've got for right now.

  • You made some good points. Some of them seem impossible though, since you hardly can pay off a new voicecast and in different languages. I take it that story wise we will see the town only in DLC form. Maybe in Destiny2. Also Mercury: DLC. More storyelements: DLC. Want to visit the Rift again? You know the answer... Bungie seems to have made huge design changes, UI and story wise, in the last minute (from 2013 to final release) and have cut elements out. Maybe they hadn't had enough time to implement it all to meet their launch date. Maybe it's the publishers decision because it doesn't contain microtransactions, so they cut off content to sell DLCs while also gaining more time for further developement and polishing ... That said, I keep coming back every day because of the gameplay, which is rocksolid. It's just sad, that its all so very bland and repetitive story wise. Cutscene skipping would be a godsend. And sorry but Grimoire "story" is a joke.
