R.I.P. Pocket Infinity: A Tale of Two Nerfs

In the article from Deej, regarding the latest update, he says the following: "Pocket Infinity: Speed Reload upgrade replaced by Extended Clip which allows the option to increase magazine size (5 bursts)." That's it. That's all he says about it. Allow me to be a little more clear about what changes ACTUALLY occurred. You spawn in a crucible match. You come to your first enemy and melt his face using two shots from your new 5 magazine battery. Great, right? You reload right before encountering your next enemy. You unload a full clip, with virtually zero charge time, zero damage, zero range, and die. Respawn. Repeat. First shots destroy an enemy. Next encounter, you're dead. Once you've respawned and "charged" the weapon with your first very powerful shot, every other shot until you die and respawn will do almost no damage, with nearly zero range capability. If you want to kill an enemy, you will need an entire clip. Let me repeat that. After the initial shot has been fired, once you reload your battery, YOU WILL NEED AN ENTIRE CLIP TO KILL AN ENEMY. It will go on that way until you respawn, at which point your weapon will do full damage for one shot. Every following shot means basically nothing. It's comparable to shooting an assault rifle with zero range and zero impact and five shot clips. First the gun was gutted, weeks ago. And now it's been nerfed again, under the guise of a buff. If this was actually intended, I really have to ask. How stupid do you guys think we are? The first nerf weeks ago put the gun into a coma. Now it's a corpse.

  • Bungie responds, here: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/81636183/0/0 There are multiple threads detailing this glitch, each with 50+ responses, and they reply to the one with like 5 comments? Seems kinda... self-defeating.
