I need a power supply and a GPU.
With 16GB of RAM, I'd like to find parts that can put it to good use. I want to play games like Skyrim and Battlefield 3/4 at 60 FPS. I care more about frames than res, but I don't want to have awful resolution.
Looking at GPU's for Christmas, so my budget is about $300. If I need a higher budget, go ahead and tell me anyway. I don't know a lot about PC's or GPU's, so I don't know how much I'll have to spend to get what I'm looking for.
I'll be adding my current parts later, just busy right now.
Any ideas?

So many Martys in this post, it's awesome.
And when you're not busy, give us your specs. If you don't have a clue, download the AIDA64 trial version, it will tell you. http://www.aida64.com/downloads
No need for 16Gb ram. 8 is good enough for gaming. Gpu: Nvidia GeForce gtx 970 Psu: corsair ax 750w Cpu: intel i7 4790

Step 1: Buy computer. Step 2:????? Step 3: Profit.

We need to know the rest of your system to recommend an appropriate wattage for your power supply.
-
How do you expect anyone to help you if you don't give us your max budget?
-
you're not getting a good gpu for just $300... you can snag an old last gen with 2GB of DDR5 VRAM but it would be physically longer, slower, and more wattage consuming than a new, more powerful GPU. you need to spec out the info. if you went AMD or intel? case size, mobo type, etc? that's important as AMD is physically a LOT hotter but cheaper. amd has APUs that combine cpu and gpu.

You kinda need to give us a budget and tell us why you plan to do.

How many GB of neckbeard are you looking for?
-
...first off we need to know what you are using it for. WHY do you need a GPU? Games? programs? if programs you need a processor more than a GPU...also the power supply depends greatly on your parts, as for 16gb of ram what kind? i just build two myself, one http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pVhwqs two http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/QPzpNG

You basically said you want to buy a car, but you didn't tell us what kind of car you want, how much money you're willing to spend, or what you want out of it.
-
Well tell us all of your other details and we'll respond.

You should visit overclock.net. These guys helped me a ton with my first build (2007) Awesome info there. I wouldn't go cheap on PSU, nothing less than 500W. (Corsair has always been awesome from my experience, modular is worth the extra cost, makes it for a clean cable management and better airflow) Cards, I love Nvidia, great experience with them. I got all my GPUs from Nvidia or EVGA. This all depends on your budget, what's your budget? What your CPU? MB? Order most other parts from Newegg, in Hawaii, we don't even have a Best Buy ;(
