First thing's first, I know that I am about to get a ton of hate about this. Note that this is not meant to offend anyone (yes, some of the faction stuff may do so, but it's not meant to) I'm just here to state why The Awoken aren't useless. I am aware of the lore behind the Awoken. The story that when the Darkness came, we apparently ran away from it, and turned from Human to our beautiful blue selves. We are just up in The Reef wasting resources and not fighting the Darkness. That our Queen is so useless and her brother is an @$$. [b]AND???[/b] That's all we're working with? Alright, let's begin with us 'running'. Contrary to popular belief, we did not run (or at least it wasn't our choice.) If you want to blame someone for us leaving, blame Rasputin, one of the Warminds. Rasputin is to make sure that Humanity is protected and lives on. He knew the power of the Darkness and sent a fleet of Humans out into space in case the Darkness consumed Earth or something along those lines. He also sent a bomb disguised as a ship against The Darkness or an invading armada, explaining the wrecked ships. The survivors of the bomb became the Awoken, changed by the radiation or effects of the bomb. Therefore, this was an escape plan by Rasputin, not Awoken being cowards. Next, let's talk about how we're 'wasting resources' in The Reef. Let's compare us to the 3 main factions (FWC, Dead Orbit, and New Monarchy). New Monarchs: Why are you hating on our Queen? What makes you so confident that your new ruler will be any nicer than her? Dead Orbiters: Let me get this straight; when we take to the stars, we are wasting resources. However, when you take to the stars, it's justified? Is that what I'm getting? Future War Cultists: I know this is biased, but I honestly can't think of a reason why they would hate us. To continue, we aren't fighting the Darkness, according to some. I would like to disagree. Three words; Prison Of Elders. You don't just casually walk around and pick up an Archon Priest, especially a living one. Before you say the House of Wolves tricked him, different Fallen Houses fight each other. And he was broken out? Well he wasn't going to live forever, and something that powerful won't be captive that long. And the fact that Awoken are a playable race capable of stopping The Darkness isn't even arguement worthy. That's just silly to say that we, or the Titan Vanguard, or the Dead Orbit representative, all do nothing. Lastly, The Queen herself. Yeah, there is no denying her brother is a little on the rude side, but he's not the one that speaks for us. He only listens to the Queen, and he won't defy her. Just because we have one @$$ doesn't mean our entire race is like him, just like Humans, IRL and In-game. People say The Queen is useless. I guess they hated all the legendaries they got or weren't here to get from her. And if you forgot, you need her to get into the Black Garden, as stated by the Exo Stranger. Well, that's about all I've got for The Awoken. I'm proud to be an Awoken. Call us Smurfs, go ahead. But when we randomly help you as a 7th man outside the VoG or help you with the Nightfall or blow your head off in Crucible, I bet our skin color or history won't be what you're thinking about.
