This thanksgiving, I'm grateful that I have destiny, so I'm just sitting on my xbox playing destiny all day. How many of you guys are doing exactly what I'm doing?

The amount of posts in here claiming how gaming is more fun than spending time with family is pretty depressing. The simple fact that ppl have to use holidays like xmas or thanksgiving as an excuse to visit family is disgusting. Family has always been number one in my life, we argue & fight the same as anyone but we also have alot of fun. I lost my eldest son 3 yrs ago, I started working from home so i could be around my kids as i didnt wanna be one of these dads that only saw them for a cpl hrs a day. 1 thing i realised after i lost my boy is that even with all the time i spent with him there still wasnt enough time. If i had spent a 1000 yrs with him & then lost him that still wouldnt be enough time because the gap they leave in your life is overwhelming. You look for things to fill that space but nothing will, the time spent with family is precious & when you lose them you will have regrets, unless you can tell yourself that they knew how much you loved them & that the time spent with them was great. Ive spoken to so many other parents in similar situations & i always hear regrets such as *i should have played football with em more often* or * i should have made the time*, enjoy the time spent with family because our time is limited & no one knows whats around the corner. Good luck to all of you.
