Yeah it's not just players fault. My connection is good but sometimes for w/e reason depends on the match and other peoples Nat settings. It changes all the time. I think a lot has to do with bungies back end servers. Let's hope this gets addressed soon. I'm sick of having bad games then good ones depending on everyone's connections. Not saying I don't have any bad games with good connections sometimes too haha. Still stable dedicated servers would be really nice.

It depends on which server people are at. If I am solo my connection is green all the time but on some groups it's red. My connection is pretty stable I have 50mb download and 3mb upload. For some reason it goes red from time to time but this depends on what server I am playing.
-
That's probably not a good idea since connection fluctuates, I've had matches where everyone was full green and then we all dropped to red. I think it shows the connection to the game servers and not your connection in general.

I understand peoples frustration, but Bungie isn't going to ban people with slow internet speeds. They're a company, one that wants to make money, and banning what is probably a fair amount of your player base is not the best way to do that. The problem still needs to addressed, though, so perhaps Bungie should do what xBbQz, and others I'm sure, have suggested and switch it so that the system no longer favors players with slow connections.

I seen a player dance kill me and my team with a red connection

Insta ban on players who may not live anywhere close to somewhere with a good connection? I'm pretty sure Bungie would get sued to oblivion if they stopped a huge chunk of players from playing the game they bought.
-
The problem is the issue of no private servers or local connection settings. . In bf4 I would play aussie only servers. But here I am paired with anyone from around the world. Even pve has issues.
-
I honestly don't care what the issue is. If your playing a game ONLINE you need a good connection. People that do have that shouldn't be punished because of "your circumstance".
-
I live 20 miles out in the country and the only way i get internet is usimg a massive dish to recieve signal from a internet type cell tower. I paid hundreds for the dish and near $100 per month all so i have a somewhat decent connection. Only reason im telling my story is to point out that there are probably more people than you think that are held back because of circumstances rather than our pocket books.

The thing is the system they have in place helps lagger instead of other way around ,It should be for some one perfectly connected to servers your attack register first so when some one freezes they instantly take all the damage when they reconnect instead of registering all their actions they did during lag and then ours resulting in a teleport and ur dead it should be when they just stand there and u do ur shots they die no double kill shit you did the damage first according to the initial server response not some lag catch up mode

They're not going to punish someone for not having a high end connection. You're pretty much suggesting they ban people because you want them to be banned. Following that logic, I'd suggest that they ban you for being a dick. But we all know that's never going to happen.

banning people for slow connections isnt the right thing to do, banning for hacks is. but i do agree something does need to be done about the lag screwing up crucible.
