Why does the IB shader Goldspiral look so ugly on hunters?

Not just hunters... Titan as well. The problem is that it looks ugly with the Iron Banner gear. The wolf details become hidden. I would expect for the most highest reward of the Iron Banner (you need level 5 for this), to look good with the tournament gear (at least)....
