Connecting to Destiny via 4G EE Osprey - cattle error

Doubt that anyone can help on this subject but i thought i'd try anyway. I spend a fair amount of time stuck in hotels when away on business and I drag my xbox one with me as there is it's dull being stuck in a hotel room with nothing to do. Sooo.... i bought a 4G My-Fi device from Everything Everywhere, in the UK, called an Osprey. About two weeks ago this worked fine. I had fast up and download speeds and low ping. I could connect to xbox live which reported a moderate NAT. I then tried Destiny and to my delight it worked. I ran a full raid with no lag whatsoever. Then last week it stopped working. Yes, it the Osprey has enough allowance, still has fast up and down speeds with low ping and xbox live still reports moderate NAT. All games and video streaming work EXCEPT Destiny. I load it up and it gets to the "signing in" bit, hangs and reports a cattle error. I tried using my non 4G vodafone mobile phone (Nexus 4) to connect and this works even though xbox live reports my NAT as strict. I can log in and play destiny. The only issue I get is some chat issues. I do not want to use my mobile because a) it's a company one b) NAT is strict and c) it's not 4G. So, either Everything Everywhere changed something or something has changed at the Destiny end. Any help and/or guidance would be good, although i am not expecting any kind of robust answer as my use case is not the norm. ~Game on devotious ~

  • Online games need stable connections. I suggest that you use a wired connection, or if wi-fi, connect an ethernet cable from your router to your console, port forward ports, and change NAT type to open. I doubt it that 4G connection works for the game. Just an opinion.

    • connecting over a wi-fi hotspot over a cellular data network is not recommended for playing Destiny. For the best connection use an Ethernet cable connected to a hard wired router.
