Leaver Penalty

I'm going to have to throw something out here that I find a bit annoying about the game & it has to do with the actions of users that choose not to stick around for the entirety of a Crucible Match/Strike/Raid. When those people leave, it only ruins the experience for others that are left to take the additional brunt of the attack. To give an idea of what I'm talking about, I was in one Crucible match where both of my teammates left the match (whether it was connection problems or not, I can't be sure) leaving myself to a 3 on 1 gangbang. Unlike those guys however, even if I know I can't win the match, I stick around because I know I won't get drops at the end of the match if I leave (seems the less people in a match warrants a higher drop rate for those that are left, which in a sense is a bonus to those who do stick around). The point behind this is while people do get penalized for leaving a match, I don't think the penalty of lack of rewards is high enough & I would like to suggest taking this a step further. What I would suggest is similar to what was done in World of Warcraft in Battlegrounds. Basically if somebody leaves any match/mission where they were in a team, they should be locked out of being able to join a team for 10 minutes (this timer would continue counting down after if they log out so they can't work around it by restarting their system). There is one thing I need to note here however for those who are having connections problems (and this is actually a HUGE problem in Destiny, which I think is a server-side issue); LeaverBuster systems I have seen in other games seem to penalize people with connection problems, so there needs to be a way to track actual leaves in the game. This should be gauged either by when they go to orbit through their ghost or when they actually quit the game through the menus on their system (PSN users will no what I'm talking about here, not sure whether XBOX system have this capability) while in a matchmaking match/mission (if Destiny is able to detect that); obviously pulling the power on their system is going to allow them to get around this, but they risk ruining their system & getting data corruption if they do, so we'll leave that open as an exploit of the system at their own risk. Obviously if they are logging because they are out of time, the 10-minute penalty isn't going to matter to them, but this makes people think twice about leaving a match just because they don't like the lineup of teammates/opponents (although I can understand the latter, I still won't leave over it) & you could take this a step further & remove any drops, reputation, experience & bounty gains they may have gotten during that match/mission (essentially a reset of their gear, experience, upgrade & bounty progression to before they even joined the team). One final note on this suggestion; if somebody is the last person in a team, I can't really say that they should be penalized for a leaving the match. The reason why I state this is I know how people must feel being the last people to fend off an army of opponents when they're supposed to be having teammates in that mission. The reason for this last mention is because I feel they should be able to leave the match without penalty because it's no fun being in a gangbang & also to avoid a possible bug that might penalize people for leaving solo missions. I won't be starting a poll on this considering I know the result in giving a "No" option, so this thread will be comments only.
