hi guys,
I've recently acquired rank 3+ of both Vangaurd and Crucible reputation, so i can buy both weapons and armor. From this moment on, the only reason for acquiring more reputation is to receive the legendary rewards per new rank.
So I was thinking, won't it go faster if I went for FWC, DO e.g.?
ANSWER: Yes it will, both PvP and PvE are added to 1 faction.
My main question is, will I also gain legendary rewards (weapons/materials) from rank 3 and onwards?
ANSWER: Yes, but only the variant of that faction (perks differ per gun though)
In addition, do you require more/less reputation per rank for these factions?
ANSWER: The same reputation is require for ranks (2400 from rank 3+)
BONUS: Unique faction shaders
Thanks for your answers!

Here's my question do your vanguard marks apply towards the marks you need to purchase gear from a faction? I know rep from gained from PvE apply towards rep for a faction and I also know that the requirements say it requires crucible marks. What happens to the vanguard marks then?

Every level after 3 is 2400 rep. It also helps with Nightfall bonus. Their care packages consist of ascendant materials, strange coins, faction armor, faction class item, faction weapon or faction shader. I leveled my vanguard up to rank 10 and it's useless. I now have a rank 10 DO I think, almost 11. I'd rather go with a faction as well because of the unique shader.

DO, NM, and FWC require the same rep as the others but have the benefit of capitalizing on both vanguard and crucible resources (pvp, bounties, patrols, etc). As a result the factions level much faster.

Same all around , Rank 3 and up in either 3 factions give legendary care packages, Only difference is they will yield weapons / Armor from the specific faction eg. It will not drop Shadow Price ( Vanguard ) if u open a package from FWC.
