Exotic Hand Cannon Idea (The Russian Roulette)

So a friend and I were playing Destiny and were talking about ideas for guns we had, and we came up with one that we really liked, and I wanted to share it with you all. The gun itself is a hand cannon named the Russian Roulette The stats haven't been worked out entirely, but we thought it'd have a special perk named Russian Roulette, where every time you reload the gun, it would change it's damage type (i.e. Arc, Solar and Void) for that magazine, and that mag only, at the time. I.E, say I spawn in with the Russian Roulette, and it starts off as a Solar damage type. After shooting it for a little while, down to zero, I reload it, and it's damage type switches to void. I shoot off half of the mag, reload it and it becomes Solar again. I shoot some more, reload, and then it becomes Arc. The damage type it changes to would of course me RNG, but there would be another three perks, once the Russian Roulette perk was unlocked, that you could equip to give you a higher chance of getting a specific type (Like choosing Solar, causing that to instead of being a 1/3 chance, it would be a 2/4 chance, leaving the other types to having a 1/4 chance). The gun would have a high mag count, say roughly 8-12 (Just a thought), with slightly lower than average impact, to account for the high mag. Firerate would be quicker than the thorn, but slightly quicker, and not too much faster. The other stats haven't been thought out though. Let me know what you think [b]EDIT 1:[/b] ClownSlick came up with the awesome idea that instead of a 8-12 round, the gun would be a 6 round, and have a chance to fire blanks (Say 1-2 per mag) to go with the Russian Roulette perk. Instead of having a lower impact, the impact would be somewhat higher as well, to compensate [b]EDIT 2:[/b] Kalo Belmot thought up the idea of keeping true to the name, of having one random bullet kill you. Adding that to the gun, but tweaking it a little, so instead of killing you, it would cause around 10-15 damage to yourself. The bullet would most likely be the blank bullet that would backfire and cause damage to you instead of an enemy. [b]EDIT 3:[/b] Following on the last two ideas, orangeghost111 came up with a stock perk, that you couldn't get rid of, called 'Dead Mag'. Dead Mag would be a perk where reloading when the mag is empty would cause a faster reaload. Reloading prior to having an empty mag would cause a slower reload than when the mag is empty, as well as a lower impact, but a higher fire rate. This would also cause one or two bullets in the 'Dead Mag' to be dud rounds, which wouldn't happen if you emptied the clip all the way. This being said, this'll change the 'Russian Roulette' perk so that the dud round in the Dead Mag would cause slight damage to you (10-15 damage), as well as not switching the damage type if the magazine hasn't fully been emptied. In other words, if I have Arc type, the damage type won't randomize unless the magazine would be fully emptied. [b]EDIT 4:[/b] As I wrote the last edit, I casually thought that when you die, you respawn with a different damage type, causing the gun not to stay with one specific damage type too long.
