Idea about the vault.

Player's vaults tend to hold up to 20 weapons, 20 armor pieces, and 20 miscellaneous items... between 3 characters. Each character can carry 27 weapons (9 primary, 9 secondary, 9 heavy), 45 armor pieces (9 helmets, 9 chest, 9 gauntlets, 9 boots, and 9 class), and tons more miscellaneous items (seriously, the materials and consumables are more than enough to fill it up, without getting into the other ships, shaders, emblems, ghosts, and sparrows.) Below are a few possible ideas I have for the storage vault in terms of what could be done in making it larger. 1. Break up the miscellaneous items. While 20 armor and 20 weapons is somewhat manageable for a single character class, 20 miscellaneous simply isn't. What with all the shaders, emblems, ships and sparrows one can come across, and having no place to store them is a bit of a pain. The simple solution, adding a four section of the vault for the custom items. That way the materials and consumables won't be leaving your hard earned shaders and rare ships without a home. Breaking it up into a 20/20/20/20 would definitely add more room, and make things more manageable for the more fashionable guardians. 2. Character based vault sizes. Again, 20 armor and 20 weapons is somewhat manageable for a single character class, but what if you wanted to branch out with another character of a different class? That means a whole new set of armor items. New helmets, new chest, new legendary and exotics, and so on. Space could get a little tight, and even more so once you get a third character going. How about vault size upgrades based on not just how many characters you have, but with their progression as well with the subclasses? Sure, start off with the base 20/20/20 on the first character, but once you earn the maximum amount of experience for any of the subclasses, you gain 5 spaces for armor, weapons, and miscellaneous. That means each character can earn up to 30 new spaces (45 once the third subclasses are available) for a total of 30/30/30 (or 35/35/35 after the third subclass). Add a second character of a different class and max out their subclasses to reach 40/40/40 (or 50/50/50 after the third subclass), and a third for a grand total of 50/50/50 (or 65/65/65 after the third subclass). Expansions would be permanent, and would only be applied once per character class/subclass, so as not to risk the sudden loss of items from character deletion, or exploiting the reward through recreating characters. 3. Vault upgrades from Xur. Xur is more or less the premium item sales person of the game, taking your strange coins, and giving you some of the nicest items in the game. They even sell modules that can turn your rare sparrows into legendary sparrows. So when it comes down to the tower's vault technology, perhaps they may have a way of increasing the space... for a price, of course. Each module would increase the space by 20/20/20, though can only be applied 2 or 3 times before potentially causing irrecoverable damage to the vault. The modules would of course be paid for by Strange Coins, though how much... I donno. Xur wouldn't give a clear answer on if such an item exist in the first place. 4. Expansion vaults. What's better than having 1 vault? How about 2 vaults? With the upcoming expansions, why not add an extra vault for those who actually purchased them? Perhaps a new area in the tower that houses these vaults, and is separate from the regular vault? It may not be convenient, but it would still be added storage. So, any thoughts on this? Yay? Nay? or "Who gave this guy any say?"
