I usually get 30+ kills per game and I'm rewarded every couple of games but I feel as though the pvp loot system is really the dummest thing. Last game this guy had 0 kills and was rewarded a legendary engram. This happened often with every game I played, players who barely get any kills or assist rewarded great rewards for putting little effort into the multiplayer. Why did bungie do this? They ruined the fun and the challenge pvp could have been. I'm tempted to just not bother participate in games anymore. I'll just leave my system on and a rock on my analog/get high and get rewarded engrams.

The worst players always get stuff.
-
sometimes. where's the sometimes option
-
Maybe they'll make a game that requires you to be really good to level up and rewards you by unlocking..guns... At higher levels..... OH WAIT CALL OF DUTY HAS JUST THE REWARD SYSTEM YOU'RE LOOKING FOR!!!! GOOD NEWS EVERYONE
-
Whats 9+10?
-
That's because the rewards are rep and marks, everything else is a bonus.
-
I have never had a k/d above 0.5 and I spend 99% of my time coming in last. I have never been rewarded with more than a blue engram. You have bad luck.
-
Tell me about it. Top player almost every game.
-
Typically I only see the bottom players get good rewards. They should simply slant the reward system towards the higher-ranking players on each team. Leave an RNG factor, but make it more likely to be rewarding towards better players: same concept sort of as say, a strategy game where you had that one character who was really good at getting critical hits (Joshua from FE8-sacred stones, anybody?). In this case that character=player with better score, and critical hit=legendary/exotic gear. Basically, make it easier for better players, but still let the worse players have a chance :)

To be fair I disagree. Not everyone can get top of the leaderboards consistantly. My girlfriend plays this game and although she's terrible at fps games and will probably never get to the top, I still think she deserves just as much as the next player to get good drops. Same goes for handicapped players. I have a friend that plays games with only 1 hand because he was born that way. They try their hardest, and for that, they deserve to have fair drops.
-
It's abit flawed yea.. But I got hard light before after getting in first place. And I got truth after getting last with 0.55 kd XD (laggy haha) so yea. I don't mind if once in awhile give me an exotics.
-
I honestly don't go into the crucible looking to get awesome loot drops. I go onto the crucible to improve my skill, do bounties and collect Rep and Marks with my faction so I can purchase the weapons I need.
-
It's incredibly depressing actually. Bungie may not own up to it, but the RNG is definitely swayed toward favoring the lowest scoring players. Besides that is the fact that my (Plasteel) stock is now hovering around 500... W T F am I gonna do with that Bungie? Maybe Bungie could just reward me with Plasteel and save me the trouble of having to dismantle and the dog shiz they keep forcing on me. We need to talk about those matches where we fill in for quitters. That's almost always a lost cause and we get NOTHING to offset the loss and our frustration for being forced onto a piece of crap team.
-
It's very broken lol. I go super positive i don't get Shit. I go super bad or below average i get amazing stuff lol.

I think the bigger issue isn't that the rewards are random, it is the fact that the PVP rewards are no where near as powerful as the Raid Gear. I don't have time to run the raids, because the only play time I have is when my son is asleep (10 month old), and I have to be able to drop the controller should he wake up. All I've noticed is that the only people who wreck me in PVP are level 30s, with Atheon's Epilogue, Vex Mythoclast, or SUROS Regime. Once I see those people I know I'm done for the match. Why can't PVP rewards still be random, but at least as rewarding as raiding? Considering the time I put into PVP it is viscous that I cannot compete with the gear the raiders have.
-
i think the only thing they should do is give pvp max lvl gear that can be earned via, number of kills, and other challenges not insane, maybe getting 100 head shots, 50 double kills etc. and just give them a bonus for pvp ala faster say captures and such, so pvp people can get to max lvl while raiders get to max and their max gears wouldnt over power the other in their pve and pvp realms outside of being max lvl, as for weapons maybe put old raid weapons up for crucible rewards maybe instead of 150 make it max 200 marks to buy them since the new raid is coming it works out well

I know the feeling. The gunplay in this game is fantastic. Everything else though is questionable. I dont understand the loot system in Crucible. Theres no leaderboards, no rankings, no nothing. Yet loot is given out on random to whoever. There have been multiple times where the lowest/afk gets exotics. I think thats unfair because adding so little to the team warrants one of the best pieces in game? What about the guys consistently on top? We get shafted every game, we carry the team, dont get anything at all for it. Not even a bump up on nonexisitent leaderboards, nothing special for being one of the best nope nada. Either remove loot in Crucible or give the top players something to work towards. Sure its fun for middle of the road players and lowbies however for someone who is on top every game its disheartening, makes my efforts feel purposeless. Rng wasnt the right way to go via Crucible rewards.
-
if your getting that many kills per game you don't need anything. the guys that finish near last do. just my observation.
-
I always thought they should award additional rep like 5 or 10 rep per kil
-
Only thing that needs to change is moar! More legendary engrams More exotic drops I get ppl at the bottom deserve something too... I only get pissed when I play 1-3 hours and get 1 or 2 blue engrams. With the amount if pvp ive played since release it -blam!-ing ridiculous I've yet to have an exotic drop and only 1 or 2 purples

Edited by AsylumxX: 11/25/2014 4:06:42 PMI feel like there is definitely something specific that triggers it, just not kd. My games are usually pretty consistently bad but ive never gotten shit, but last night i had a comeback spree after getting wrecked especially hard and finally got timurs lash. My friends believe destiny gives drops to the worse players under the belief that they need all the help they can get LOL
-
Don't waste my time in crucible. I don't ever get anything. PvE is the way to go!
-
actually you average 21.36 kills per game, not 30+... just saying. which don't get me wrong, you rock at pvp. I just don't understand why people always have to exaggerate their abilities.
-
PvPlebs are Bungie's demographic. It won't get changed.
-
I don't mind people who didn't do well getting awesome stuff as rewards, but I think people on the winning team should get more on average.
-
Yeah I had a 2.46 K/d one match in IB , 32 kills and idk how many deaths, but also had 3 captures . I didn't get one reward but he dude second from bottom got jolders hammer. I have a picture but idk how to upload it from my phone
-
I can't tell you how many times everyone on my team got nothing, even if we won. Why is the nothing chance so high??
