A lot of reasons. People say Destiny is a game so it belongs in #gaming. They also argue the description says "any game" so they can post what they want. However, #gaming is meant for non-Destiny games. For one, that is what #gaming has always meant for. #Destiny is for general Destiny discussion. The descriptions are not meant to be 100% literal interpretations (I.e. Bungie's not going to kick your ass and you don't have to be brave to go into the Destiny section.) Bungie made the description that way, I believe, due to new comers driving off veterans of Bungie.net for trying to properly use #gaming; saying you can't post about other games on the Destiny app/forums. Secondly, lack of knowledge. People are just completely ignorant as to how the forums work. Some might not even know #recruitment exists since it requires you to fully exit the app to appear. And that's how most people access the site/forums, through the app. The app title also throws people off. They don't know they are accessing Bungie.net; they think they're just accessing the Destiny app/forums. Some people are just being stubborn and/or trolls. They don't want to be told they're wrong and frankly decide to be rude and arrogant and won't change their ways. The trolls also think it's funny that #gaming posters are getting irritated, so they continue to post Destiny topics in #gaming and up vote all LFG posts. This leads to uninformed users thinking it's still okay to place Destiny topics in #gaming.
