All these white kids dropping the N bomb

Am I the only one who runs into this all the time? I'm sick and tired of hearing, f**k you ni**a!" and "Watch me kill this Goblin b**ch, ni**a!" I don't care who you are, that bulls**t needs to stop. It doesn't make you sound cool. Just because there's no brothers out there in suburbia to call you out on it, doesn't make it okay. Edit: Wow. Evidently there's a lot of real hate out there. It's honestly amazing how many people come running to the defense of bigots. That being said, let's clear a few things up regardless. Personally, I don't use the word and I don't think anyone should use it, even black people. That word put a face on extreme hatred and generations of severe oppression (some of which is still taking place). So, for everyone saying "it's just a word, get over it", you're wrong it's not "just a word". Just because it doesn't mean anything to you, doesn't mean, it doesn't represent a lot more than that to some people. My grandfather sure thought it was more than a word when he was burglarized and beaten to death by a group of skin heads when he was 74 years old and had that word spray painted all over his house. So, if you'll excuse me it's not your call. Secondly, yes, some black people use that word as a major part of their vernacular. As, I said before this word was the face of, and representative of some very dark times. So, if they choose to disempower it by using it as a term of endearment they can. Again, not anyone else's call to make. Finally, yes, I did say "white" and no it is not stereotyping. I was referring to a group that picked me up off the forums for a raid the other day. It was fairly obvious they were white when they were saying things like, "suck my white d**k you ni**a bi**h" and "I'm gonna whip your a** like a slave". Unfortunately this is something I run into a lot, and I don't think anyone should have to put up with that. Hence the post. Edit 2: Wow. I can't believe the amount of hate this has generated. I never would have guessed there would be such an overwhelming amount of support and justification for overt racism. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. People's true colors come out when they don't have to look you in the eye when the say something. So much for progress from the next generation. Sad.

For one, blacks need to stop using it BC then whites think it's OK to use. Music and media influences don't help... And these unfortunately are the major influences in the industry. Unfortunately, pathetic white kids think it's cool and try to imitate these people. IRL they would get the sh%t beat out of them, by myself included (I'm white if that matters) so this is the only venue they can use it. They are the root of the problem, mostly due to improper parenting and their own ignorance. But again, if this issue is to be addressed properly, the blacks that share the major media coverage need to grow up themselves and set a better example.

            • I know that feeling, back in the days when i played CoD (still play it every once in a while, just not all the time, also on 360 so that probably makes it worse) Every 3-5 lobbies or so, i would hear a kid screaming Boom! Get f***ed n***a! Even though i liked to troll them (heuh) It was the worst. But, it dosen't mean they are all bad. Ive met some pretty cool 12 year olds But they are rare, and that's the problem. Its not really the kid's fault actually, it is either their parents or their peers, (usually N bomb is with peers) Parents might go around cursing a lot, and that kid wants to be like their parent, so they curse a lot. Next step in that is when kids hear their peers saying that stuff. Then they wanna be "cool" and then they curse. Then after that they start cursing all the time through their life, until they learn its NOT ok through the hard way. Really though, its up to the parents to teach their kids that cursing is NOT ok for such a young age. As i got older, my mom and dad starting cursing a LITTLE bit more every year. Now, they didn't just start dropping the F Bomb every 5 minutes but they curse every once in a while, like ya know most normal people. But thats how it should be done, and how im disappointed in parents that curse all the time around their kids. i just looked and saw that i ranted. Big Time. But thats how i feel about this, so yeh.

            • you are totally correct that they shouldn't be blaring out that crap and if there was any moderation they would get banned. Nobody should have to deal with insults or bigotry in an online game. the anonymous "shield" of the internet just lets these people vomit their insults all over everyone. This is why bungie initially turned off all voice for most things except fireteams. Xbox live had huge problems with this sort of thing and they have done lots of initiatives to penalize or ban in appropriate people on chat. It has helped somewhat but Bungie was well aware of what it is like and how it offends a LOT of people. It is so bad that a huge percentage just mute everyone or never turn on voice chat. Truth is none of these people would shout out this crap in the middle of the mall but they are emboldened by the internet shield of anonymity like tiny cowards. Also true is that you rarely have any hope of changing the mind of a faceless internet stranger. just use the bungie reporting system

              • I wouldent use the word but unfortunately its not your call to make to say "its not your call to make." People can and will say what they want giving these people attention only tends to strengthen there resolve to it. I have red hair so i deal with a ton of racism everyday. unlike with blck people its excepted widely on tv or anywhere. No one loses there job over it or anything of that sort. Before you say its not same because of decades of abuse against blacks. I am of irish and scottish decent so you dont want to go toe to toe on what are people have been through.

Thank urban and hip hop culture. They are only copying how blacks talk to themselves. You can't complain about one group saying something that the black community themselves tells each other. I don't care how it is used either, they are copying you. As a side note there is too much race baiting in the news.

There is no such thing as the N bomb anymore. It's been casualized and watered down by all races. My advice is to stop being sensitive to a word. It's what they want and it's obviously working. Let's be honest. It's not offensive anymore. And yes I am black. I don't use the word, but when it is used I do not care one bit. I find it more silly that people are even offended by this word anymore.

                      • Ok, racism is one thing, and it's a stupid thing which I am against. Discrimination based on race doesn't make any sense... why should white people have access to a school that black people don't? Or why should black people have access to a vocabulary that white people don't? I used to work in a kitchen where I was the only white guy. The other guys would come in and greet each other as "my ni**a" or if someone did something rude or stupid he was "that ni**er." I heard it on average about twenty times a day from each of the cooks, even the older ones that grew up in the segregation era. So one day I decided to try this; I greeted the dishwasher (who was the most rational of the whole crew and with whom I was pretty tight with) as "my -blam!-," as one of the cooks did daily without incident. This day, though, Jay (for that is what I shall call him here) became a bit less rational for a minute. "That's racist," he said. That it's different for Matt because he's black too, but it's degrading if a white guy says it to a black guy. So I asked if he was saying that it's not acceptable for me to use the same words as him because if my race. If he wanted to have separate words that are OK for people of different races to use. And I asked, what's next? Separate restrooms? Separate water fountains? Separate schools?

                      • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSrTnWDTdwI I'll just leave this here to show why -blam!- is no longer a racist term, it's main stream. These rappers know they have white fans so if its such an evil word why do they spread it. Sure some use it as a racial remark but I can bet over 90% of white people who say it aren't saying it in a racist way. I'll use your own argument here, just because its offensive in YOUR circle, doesn't mean its not perfectly fine in other peoples circles. IE you have no -blam!-ing right to tell people what they can and can not say based off YOUR person opinions.
