Legendary Engrams
I have had 5 or 6 Legendary Engrams from missions. I loved the fact that I got these! However, excitement quickly turned to disappointment each and every time....as they were all for warlock or titan class...and I am a hunter. I could see it if you got one from killing an enemy, but this was my engram for completely the Daily Heroic at Level 28, my reward.....so why give me something I can't ever use!!! That's like seeing a basket of fruit on the table..and then going to eat it and it's fake.

Before you redeem a Legendary or Exotic Engram, make sure to hover over it and it will list the possible outcomes. "Random Class" is listed underneath it. If you happen to get something that's not for your class, you can either vault it for a different character later, or simply dismantle it for materials.

Edited by Feylann: 11/24/2014 4:38:28 AMRandom Legendary engrams from the Cryptarch are just that... random. The armor ones can be for any class. Just be happy they turned into armor. Thats how I got my Warlock to level 25 ten seconds after I hit level 20. They can turn into other things as well, like coins, shards, energy or motes.

Yeah that's just the way it goes, like STYLIN33 said just stick them in the vault and start another character, its good fun doing another character especially when you know as soon as you get to level 20 you got legendary armour waiting for you! When i did my 3rd (hunter) as soon as i got to 20 i had 3 legendary and one exotic ready to equip, i went strait to 25! I got 3 characters Tiatan-30 Hunter-29 and Warlock-29. When you've got 2 or 3 on the go you can run the dailys 3 times (once with each) you get 3 lots of ascendant energy/shard, same with the weekly heroic/nightfall, 2 or 3 times the rewards :)

This happened to me put them in the vault ... I started with a Warlock now I have all 3. Getting my other characters to lvl 20 wasn't so bad but having legendary or exotic armour in the vault soon sped me to 24 . I never thought I'd do it .. Chance of extra strange coins . Extra chance at doing raids . I now have Warlock lvl 29.5... Hunter lvl 30 and Titan lvl 29
