We're all monsters

This just hit me a couple weeks ago, but I just now took it into the forums. Have any of you realized the strike were we kill a boss named Phogoth. That Phogoth may not have been our target? In the mission description it says the hive have a weapon that they are about to unleash upon us all. Meaning it wasn't ready yet. Now my first time in the strike I did what everyone else did and aimed for the head, just to find it wasn't the weak point. Now think about this, what if Phogoth was actually a female? And since her stomach was her weak point. Our real target may have been her unborn baby.....

  • It's explained in the grimoire. When an ogre shows promise, they put it through a painful ritual that fills it with rage, making it an Unborn. When an Unborn has proven itself, they put it through an agonizing ritual that makes it even more hateful and teaches it to concentrate its hatred, making it a Reborn. That's what Phogoth is. The crit spot is its heart, you can see the ribs jutting out, it's open and vulnerable because they hadn't finished the ritual yet
