Please please please introduce another way of acquiring materials in this game. I have 177 shards, 125 energies and i CANT UPGRADE ANY OF MY WEAPONS! why? Because i refuse to spend hours and hours of my life running in circles looking for chests! Im a busy guy, i work between 12-15 hours a day and when i come home from work i like to kick back with a beer and kill a few aliens before going to bed. With the iron banner, the crucible bounties, vanguard bounties, daily, weekly, nightfall and the raid, theres plenty to keep my busy and entertained. Why would i forego any of these activities to sit in a lobby by myself and grind a hundred spinmetal which barely covers the cost of one fully upgraded gun? Its takes the best part of an hour for 100 materials. Multiply that by the 5 primary, 4 special and 5 heavy weapons i need to upgrade, thats 14 hours which would take me an entire week to achieve. And thats only on one character! Please consider gifting materials via some other method. For example, perhaps the winning side in crucible matches can receive 2 random materials? Maybe a 10 material bonus for 5 crucible wins in a row? Perhaps make them a reward for beating a previously-completed story mission? I know a lot of my friends quit this game because its repetitive and boring. They hate farming, and they hate playing the same missions again and again for no reward. Please consider this bungie, i think it might win a few players back!
