Everyone cries about how the hunter is the worst character type in the game yet immediately yell "OP!!" about his BD super.
Lets be honest, there are waaaaaaay more Titans and Warlocks running around in Destiny than Hunters. Why? IMO its because Hunters are a lot harder to use effectively in all situations, not just PVP. If Hunters were as OP as you all say, PVP would be flooded with nothing but them using Suros. Its not.
Think about when you are killed by a Bladedancer. You're probably grouped together with your teammates (most likely near a control checkpoint) without your team breaking off and covering entries like they should. If my team was dumb enough to leave all six guys on the flag at Bravo and a Warlock or Titan utilized their super efficiently (as opposed to employing the 1v1 panic method), I would just say we deserved it.
Also, because of the challenge it takes to use a Hunter effectively as your only character highlighted by the fact that few ppl are using them, you have to imagine that those guys (on average anyway) have dedicated themselves to becoming beastly with the deadly skills a Hunter posesses. In short, Hunters are fvcking boss!
So if you dont like dying stop making it so easy for us. I cant count on all my fingers and toes how many times I've been killed using BD. The damage reduction isn't so drastic that two or three guys cant stop me. I know thats 2 or 3 guys but there aint a super in the game you stand much of a chance against one on one. As soon as you learn to cover your exits and focus your fire effectively, BD's won't go on six person murder streaks. You say you are boss, then fvcking prove it!

For the 9,671 time on these forums... It's the fact you can activate your super and walk around with it doing instant kills. I can almost guarantee you if you go to destiny tracker.com and look up the top 50 players more than half of them are hunters (because of broken supers on either class) One is a ranged one shot kill, and the other is similar to using an energy sword from halo although much faster. None of the other four classes can activate a super ability, walk around and have a one shot kill. Yes I know the warlock's sunsinger has a timer, but you'd have to stick someone with the fusion grenade to have a one shot kill. And let's not forget getting super energy for picking up ammo??? Come on get real. Anyone can camp the special ammo chests, fire off a round or two, pick up the ammo, rinse repeat and use their super without having to earn it.

Golden gun> Arc Blade

This is the most accurate post about the hunter class. Except I personally think gun slinger is more fun. Still kids crying for a Nerf cause they suck in pvp
-
I once got kicked from a Raid group because I was a Hunter, and they wanted to cheese the boss...

So true thank you... A lot of people complain and their titans using shotgun I use handcannons snipers auto rifles and occasionally shotgun, and get complains for killing them who have shotgun wtf when all they do is charge and I get killed I honestly agree hunters take skill to use and learn. That's just my opinion if you disagree comment but please not complains.

I'll purposely waste a nova bomb on a BD when they just pop it and are coming for me. Ain't no hunter gonna control me! Woo!

Awesome post

Hahaha I love it! The truth shall set you free
-
At least you can kill a blade dancer, I think the Titans that fall from sky and instantly kill you is overpowered, but whatever... I just hope they give us hunters a better PVE subclass...please
-
I think the hunter is balanced, I do not find them as fun as my Titian or Warlock but my friends seem to love the class.
-
I see way more hunters than any other class in pvp
-
Just bringing up something that will probably make people mad. Remember that warlock has a self revive that's not his super, and it can recharge.

Edited by Legend of Jordy: 11/23/2014 9:53:48 PMSo let's be honest. Every class is OP. Except for Defenders, their super just sucks (Unless it's Control).
-
I live it when a blade dance comes up to me while I have mine on I'll tear that shit up;)!!!
-
Blade dancer all the way bro^_^ hell yeah I'm dedicated to my hunter^_^
-
Edited by Blacksmith: 11/23/2014 8:25:00 PMGUNSLINGER is the OP one. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ And to be OP with the above, you have to be damned good at PvP. -------------------------------------------- Blade Dancer. One word: Invective. I've wasted so many Blade Dancers with that shotgun. I literally laugh out loud now when I see one charge that super and head my direction. Two shots, dead. Every single time. ------------------------------------------------------------------ And I also use a Blade Dancer. I've failed to kill Sun Singers with my super so often that it's ridiculous. Nova Bomb AND Fist of Havoc both ridiculously WTFpwn me. No, Blade Dancer can not approach a group of enemies and instant kill them. Unless those people are literally retarded, they will be firing their auto rifles at the Bade Dancer. And that is enough to kill a Blade Dancer with or without their Super. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ....That said, I will be honest and say that there have been occasions where I've rolled an entire team a few times over despite their best efforts to kill me using Razors Edge - > Arc Blade -> Blink Strike/Grenades/Shotguns. But normally the super itself will wear out before getting that many kills so it falls to player skill to chain it together. And it's usually luck, maybe 50/50 luck to skill when I counter the other supers before they've triggered. Although, I've managed to do the same with all my other characters before. Blade Dancer is no stronger than the rest. So, on this one it falls to player skill rather than an OP super.
-
I don't even use my super in crucible. I don't need it.
-
I kill hunters with my hunter all day everyday. I love having a BD hunter coming after me 2 well placed shots to he face with patience and time and he's dead, one golden gun he's dead, a shotgun to the face he's dead, rocket = dead, heavy machine gun dead, melee him back when he's low health dead. it's so easy to kill a blade dancer. When I use blade dancer I get maybe one or 2 kills unless there's a giant group of ppl then you have to play smart as a hunter
-
Gunslinger are underpowered to a degree. Blade dancer is completely broken in my opinion. I stopped using blade dancer cuz it doesn't feel right using his power.
-
imo the reason hunters FEEL op is because our special lasts significantly longer and allows for errors to be made. More often then not titans and warlocks super is a panic kill. And if you mess up slightly you are dead and super is wasted. I have a 30 hunter and 30 lock. I dont use my hunter in pvp for the same reason I dont use a shotgun. Im not a crotch waffle.
-
A Warlock with Sunsinger active is actually stronger than a Bladedance with Arc Blade active. Hunter runs up, hacking and slashing the Warlock. What does the Warlock do? Faces away and says "Talk to duh hand" and kills the Hunter.
-
Played all three toons at length. Bad news. Hunters are way op in PvP.
-
Hunter is the best PVP class hands down. At the same time. Hunter is the worse PVE class hands down.
-
The only thing more OP than BD is a warlocks melee
-
As a hunter, I can't disagree more. Hunters are by far the most overused class of them all. Not because they're bladedancers, but because they're the most mold able. They're good at all game types, so they're the most picked.
