A question regarding Titan armour
I currently have all my armour fully upgraded, which includes a maxed Armementarium. I love the fact it causes more special and heavy ammo drops (extremely useful in strikes and raids) and the two grenades is also amazing. The rest of my armour is maxed legendary pieces. My problem is I've never experimented with other armour pieces really.
Is there a Titan exotic armour better than the Armementarium, like the gauntlets Xur is selling for example?
Should I buy all the armour from the IB once I've ranked up enough and replace all my current armour?
Or should I just keep what I have an stay hopeful from the VoG?

It's all about finding the set up that is perfect for you. My titan for example is built for long chaotic battles as I am a very in your face combatant. Armamentarium for heavy and special amo. I use pulse rifles so my boots carry extra amo for that. Gloves increase reload speed and melee kills reduce grenade cool down. Helmet compliments the gloves increasing melee speed and and grenade kills reduce super cool down. It's really about finding your style of play and building an armor set to compliment and reinforce that style. Check out the perks on your items and get what works best.

2 RepliesIf you want to hit level 30 before doing the Hard Raid, then you're probably going to want to look into an exotic helmet. Depending on your playstyle and choice of subclass you'll make your own decision about which helmet. Of course alternatively you can try the VoG Hard with your 29 (just make sure you have a god number of level 30's on your side) and try for the Raid helmet. Keep in mind that's an IF though- you aren't guaranteed a helmet and you may end up spending multiple attempts trying to get it. If I were you, I'd pick an exotic helmet I liked, max it out by equipping it whenever you turn in bounties, and using that whenever you decided to tackle the VoG Hard for the Raid helmet. Level 30 makes a world of difference in there. Otherwise feel free to use your Armementarium; it's a solid piece of armor. Good luck Guardian.

I currently have all exotic armor for the Titan. I would have to say all of them are useful depending of the situation. My list of fav to least: Saint 14- helm- very good choice as a defender Titan. Turns you into a crowd control monster with your bubble. Most of the time I have a second bubble ready before my current one disappears. Armamentarium- Chest- Great for strikers, the extra grenade is wonderful for both PvP and PvE. Just keep in mind that most of the time you will not have both available. The extra ammo is nice as well. Crest of Alpha Lupi- Chest- Orbs!!!! More Orbs! Seriously, I can put up WoD and generate about 20 orbs. That along with the quick revives and orb generating melee perk makes you the perfect support for boss encounters. No back up Plans- Arms- if you want to truly feel like a tank this is you go to armor piece. Extended overshield, that added with the regeneration perk on the defender, makes you over twice as "tanky" as any of the other classes. Inmost light- good for PvP, but in PVE I don't even bother. Would rather use Armamentarium. Skullfort- helm- thumbs down... Seriously cannot comment on it as I really don't care for it enough to lvl up.

I have the insurmountable skullfort, Armamentarium, and no back up plans. The Armamentrium is the only one I ever end up using! Skullfort is nice but I have found no use for the no back up plans other than they look cool in the tower.

Helmet of inmost light is perfect for PVP. Not only do you get to use Death from above, but you can add either shockwave or the area effect damage to your fist of havok! So your special becomes extremely deadly! You are definitely using the best exotic for raids ETC.

2 RepliesTo be honest it's a matter of opinion, though it shows easily in perks that certain pieces are more pvp oriented or more for normal raid, since usually perks mean nothing when it comes to my actual performance, I just pick what I think is best, I have helm of inmost light(crap in PvE) until I have raid helm so I am 30, but once I do switching to gloves

4 RepliesHelm of Inmost light is a must for all Titans due to fast recharge of melee, Death from Above is always on do you can use two types of fisting. Insurmountable Skullfort is also another must since it recharges grenade hella fast but you have the Armamantarium. Which can be switched out for. Crest of Alpha Lupi for instant revival in helping your team

2 RepliesMy Titan's a defender and Helm of Saint-14 is the only exotic piece of armour I equip. It gets my super up real quick and blinding enemies that stray into your bubble is surprisingly useful... especially when getting rushed by a bunch of stealth vandals.

8 RepliesIve got Armementarium, No Back Up Plan and Helm of Saint 14 I find myself using the helm most especially in PvE. Maybe because I've had it longer and find it handy as get out of jail card when in sticky situations. I just drop my people and and mobs around me are blinded and retreat. It's really come in handy and I find the raid chest more useful than the helm. I do switch to Armementarium when paying PvP as I play striker class and extra grenade comes in handy. No backup plans are a bit Meh, ive not quite maxed it but even still I never use them. TLDR - Helmet of Saint 14 I think is the best and it looks bad a$$

The one you have now is arguably best because its a passive effect that helps at all points in time. No backup plan is extremely good with the right set up though, you can get to where you basically have a second shield all the time that constantly regenerating. It works really well with Monte Carlo if you can get past monte's poor standing over all.

Armamentarium is hands down the best titan exotic in the game currently. Might as well take advantage of the IB gear while you can. I'm replacing the vog boots that I have because the IB boots I bought have the stats I want. This will actually be my third pair of lvl 30 boots I'll level lol. You can get IB and VOG boots and gloves with just time played in their respective game type but at least you're guaranteed the armor with IB this week.
