I am going to write this as a kind of prayer to the rngesus and kind of a cry for help for those of us that the rngesus does not smile upon. Bungie, i really hope you read this. First of all let me just explain what i do so it's clear and nobody says that i should be doing this, that or the other. Every week I do vog on normal with all 3 of my characters along with the nightfall and the weekly heroic and then proceed to try and find a group to grind through hard mode with, usually i will complete the oracles, templar, gorgons, atheon and sometimes even the gatekeepers on hard with each of my characters. I have been doing all of this for as long as i have been able, bearing in mind that i have had this game from release day. I have 3 lvl 29 characters and have hit a ceiling as far as my level goes, as i am sure many others have, without raid gear none of us will ever reach lvl 30 and we just dont get it. I have had only 3 pieces of raid gear across all 3 of my characters and 1 of those i already had. I dont want to give the wrong impression here, its not like i get nothing, i have almost all of the weapons on offer from vog but there are only a certain amount of weapons you can use and almost half of my collection is doubles. [spoiler]3× vision of confluence 2× atheons epilogue 2×fatebringer 2× vex mythoclast 3× red death 2× icebreaker and thats just what i can remember getting from the vog[/spoiler] I actually have more weapons than i know what to do with. So i suppose my question is why do 400hour+ (yes its true i have put that many hours into the game) players have to stay at lvl 29 where most people will flat out refuse to go on hard mode raids with them because of the huge difference in damage dealing potential when some people who have only done the raid a few times have out-levelled and therefore out-perform people with almost 4 times the amount of hours put in. I appreciate that it is rng based but people who have the balls to tough it out through the hard raid with such a severe level disadvantage should at least be guaranteed of getting lvl 30 gear. We have, after all, done the hardest thing to do on this game. I know the iron banner has lvl 30 gear on sale this week but with only 1 piece of lvl 30 gear already, its a 1 in 4 chance that i will be able to use the 2 pieces you can buy from lord salhadin to get to lvl 30. Quite frankly I am not that lucky. Anyways , I just thought i should share this seeing as i am a very patient man but it is a very sore subject that i cannot advance to the next level simply due to the fact that i am not that lucky. I love this game but i am really beginning to not enjoy it much recently due to this problem. I have several suggestions for improvements that could be made to make things fairer if you need.
