A lot of people are posting complains about destiny on the forum all the time. Let me post a positive thread for a change. I was, and am, tired of all the bugs, glitches and imbalance problems that destiny has had over the past months. Slowly, however, I reached a point where all these rarely affect me, anymore. This is partially due to the fact that destiny is just a game and I am slowly getting detached from it. Let me share some secrets to enjoying destiny. 1) Do not get impatient for gear: getting gear is based on RNG in destiny. You can do the raid a million times and not get the item you want. May be you're just having bad luck. Give it time, eventually there's always a way to reach that level 30. Exotic helmets, iron banner gear, hell even all those ascendant shards you don't need anymore can just be wasted on your level 29 legendary gear to get to 29 while you wait for the 30 stuff from the raid 2) Stop looking at complaints on the forum. 3) In crucible, enjoy your weapon, concentrate on skill, become an emotionless robot that only wants to be better at shooting: Contrary to popular belief, guns wont make the player in destiny. If you think the Suros is an OP gun, use it, become better with it than everyone else who uses the Suros. Even if you play with a bad gun, chances are, if you take more headshots, you WILL always win. Strategy is key, getting heavy ammo ,capping the safer points on the map, communicating with friends while fighting. Stuff like this will take you way ahead and will slaughter the enemy team even if all of them have vex mythoclasts or pocket infinities. 4) Play with your mic attached at all times: seriously, play with friends, talk with people. most people on destiny are nice and want to talk (Except that one guy who made fun of my indian accent, asked me to drive a cab and eat a samosa dick). Playing this game is a lot easier and spells a lot of WIN when you play with skilled players. More often than not, I find players scoring top points in crucible , playing all alone and all I do is invite them in the party. Within 5 games, I have a full fireteam of skilled pros shooting down every team on the other side. 5) GET BETTER. I am not talking about gear. Make it your goal in destiny to shoot better and have a nice attitude to be the better player. Don't spray! take those headshots (vex uterus shots?). Most of the time, I find myself killing more enemies in the hard raid at 29 than most of the 30s on the team. Co-ordinate, think around the map in crucible. Grow spatially aware. USE THE RADAR AT ALL TIMES. Master the art of jump dodging AI enemy bullets. 6) Priorities : prioritize your time and resources in the game. You don't need all those exotics, you don't need all those weapons. Have a set of weapons you need (to do the raid right), a set good for the crucible, and the set for fun(my devil you know!). The game is not really that hard. Nightfall can be done with rare weapons with the right burn damage. You don't need all that gear. If you have a job and less time, don't make too many alts and let them go if you have them. 7) Have the attitude of a guardian: You're no loser. Getting to 28 is easy. Farming is easy. Getting coins is easy. Doing the raid, getting better at the game and having a nice attitude is the challenge. Deal with those. The rest will come. 8) There are times you will get frustrated. Switch it up. If the crucible is being a bitch, do a story mission, beat some low level vex with titan punches (extremely satisfying and once I got an exotic from it just out of boredom) A lot of stuff is broken, a lot of stuff is being fixed. Wait it out. At least we've got a company listening to us rather than some that don't (Call of duty ...). Most importantly , though, grab your best gun and rek shit!!!
