What Will Crota Look Like?
We all know about the new raid "Crota's End", and we only seen one little snippet of Crota himself from behind. And when I saw that, I couldn't help but think "[b]That's[/b] Crota?!" To be honest, he looks nothing more than an enlarged Knight. Of course, we haven't seen him head-on, and that's where I want you to surprise me. Remember Atheon? He looked splendid, elegant and incredibly contrasted from all the Vex I fought. But what about Crota? Here's hoping that when he turns around, he doesn't resemble anything of the current Hive we've seen.

surprise me, that's all I ask. Other than that, I'm highly anticipating the Dark Below. What do you guys think about this?
[i]EDIT:[/i] Many of you are saying that the end boss isn't Crota, and I honestly don't know who is for sure.
[i]EDIT:[/i] Here's my first impression of Atheon: Back then I tried to avoid watching anything related to the Vault of Glass, to prevent spoilers. However, I found a fuzzy screenshot online. I (now) know he's just a glorified Minuotar from recently finishing the VoG. But from the quality of the photo, Atheon looked like a massively massive multi-armed mechanical cluster-blam!-. Needless to say, I was excited.
"A new [i]kind[/i] of enemy!" I thought.
But I was wrong. And you know how it goes from here.

[i]"What you're seeing in the prologue is one of Crota's forms. We'll have more info dropping soon"[/i]

!!SUPER THEORY ALERT!! When crota cycles through his various forms I think the order will be 1) knight 2) wizard 3) acolyte 4) thrall 5) Oger (pure speculation no proof). Then when crota is in his final form and left with like a quarter health some random condition will be met and it will give way to leaked information that that stated that "at some point in the raid guardians are gonna have to out run an oger". This is where I think the raid ends. Even tho not fully killing crota may sound lackluster, I think it gives the raid continuity. Plus, you'll still be getting a ascended materials from killing Crota's other forms. Again this is pure speculation on my part with no proof thank you for reading (if you read all of it).

I feel like crota will be like the tank bosses in every game He will have transformations as the battle progresses Like maybe as soon as you enter the pit you beat him but he retreats and then you fight his ultimate form haha

He'll probably have some kind of Crest on his chest, and I'm thinking a change with the face compared to other Knights. I'm also thinking he's huge, he's going to be a tough guy, I'm thinking he'll do some kind of move like the Moonlight Greatsword in the FromSoftware game Dark Souls II.

Idk in the grimorie cards, it talks about a towering behemoth that wielded a sword so dark, fighting it just made it more hungry for light. Sounds a lot like the sword of Crota. And OH what if whenever you use your super during the raid, you're inadvertently powering Crota and his sword? That way you have to use it extremely sparingly.

On planetdestiny.com Holtzmann was talking about how Crota was referred to as "Oversoul". Interested to see what Bungie will tell us next. Cant wait for the Dark Below to drop.

His sword is just bout the suiting size for someone like 5 inches taller than the average Guardian And honestly thats so much better!! way more of an even/challenging match battling someone your own size. Rather than hiding from some giant who you cant even have any actual combat with face to face. I hope he has like a new sword and just chases you all around with some wicked ass moves without hesitation Maybe lay a couple swords around so 2 or 3 guardians can battle him as well/distract or something With some overshields when you pick up the sword. Now THAT would be a Final Boss Battle

Picture the boss sardok the eye of oryx but little smaller with a bigger blade of Crota and a lot more tougher and faster including with spikes in the armor that have white patches on them with a lot more detail
