Did you know? (Weapons)

General: The Range stat actually increases hip-fire accuracy as well as the implied! Preset weapon archetypes provide a baseline of how a weapon performs, the currently existing variations include; Precise (all), Powerful (HandC, Fusion, Shotty, MG, & Rocket), Rapid (AR, Scout, Pulse, MG, Fusion, & Rocket), Stable (MG, Pulse, & AR), Balanced (all), Marksman (Scouty, Pulse, & Sniper), Lightweight (all but Heavy weapons). Each having their own general effects on recoil, possible mag capacity range, etc. All weapons have a unique default zoom level; AR, MG, Fusion = 1.5x, HandC, Pulse = 1.7, Scouty, Rocket = 2.0, and Snipers with 4.0 (all magnified by the hidden optics stat provided by the different sights) Reload Speed is actually an indirect indicator in general for the Handling stat on all weapons! If a weapon has a high reload speed, it will also tend to have a high handling stat, reducing ADS, weapon switch, and ready post-sprint times (even if this isn't always the case). Fusion Rifles: Enhanced Battery always raises the battery size to 8, no exceptions. Unlike conventional weaponry, the range stat does NOT increase hipfire near as much as simply raising the Stability. The most accurate hip-fire Fusion in-game to my experience is the Purifier VII. Sniper Rifles: In PvP, you may notice any time you get a headshot/two body shots the target's down, hence more often than not you'll likely see high stability&RoF snipers. Scout Rifles: Due to how Range impacts hipfire, you may actually find this an occasional life-saver in PvP, in PvE it's a very useful time saver when patrolling areas with easy heads (Cabal, Hive, etc.) HandC: These weapons have the strongest vertical recoil, across all weapon archetypes the recoil fan only increases vertically, every other weapon class has archetypes that have a stronger horizontal recoil. Scopes & Sights: These sight systems effect the following traits; Target Acquisition (I do not know if this is specifically for target identity or Auto-Aim, possibly both), Optics (a magnifier to Range while in ADS only), Range, Stability, Reload, & Handling. IS (Iron Sights), only effect the latter three and HandCs only have IS variants. Long Range (primarily boosts Range of course, also provide the best optics for Primary weapons and Fusion Rifles), and Red Dot, which provide the best stability improvements. Then you have Sniper Scopes in a class all their own. A final note about perks: You know by now any legendary weapon you gain without marks/Glimmer will have completely random sights, mods, and perks, but did you know these all have a rarity based on that weapon class? For example, Return to Sender, Take a Knee, and Zen Moment are legendary perks to have on a Scouty.
