Best mission to farm Glimmer???
Got plenty boosters, where should i use them?

8 RepliesEdited by metallicaNLC: 11/20/2014 2:34:13 AMRaid gatekeeper checkpoint (kill everything then jump off) Maybe the "WE'VE WOKEN THE HIVE" checkpoint on the first moon mission lvl 9 and dying to the knight after killing everything The first mars mission with heroic on has like 10+ yellow health bars which provide more glimmer than red health ones. You could do venus patrol and go to the ember caves and go around in a circle killing the fallen that keep respawning. You kill the ones along the path to go up into the main cave that leads to the archon priest, then you kill the ones around the cave entrance, then you jump down over the fence and kill those ones, and by then those ones you first killed should've respawned and it just keeps going. Theres also that one new "loot cave" on earth, but you only get 6 kills per every like 6-10 seconds

1 ReplyDO NOT USE BLACK WAX IDOLS !!!!! if youve been playing the game at all you should have other glimmer multipiers. Best ive found is 1st mission on mars. look at the crota dataminers posts. You will need black wax idols at Eris. They are going to be used for buying radient materials. its going to cost 10 idols per upgrade.

Farm the hives majors by the spawn in area on earth patrol. With an idol it's roughly 150 glimmer every minute

Not sure how anyone else feels about this, but I like going to the ember caves area and just wipe out the fallen who constantly respawn. Do they drop lots of glimmer? I don't know.

1 Reply"We've woken the hive" level 9. 3 majors and 30 regulars in about 20-30 seconds. Wipe, repeat. Don't kill the knight.

1 ReplyGlimmer farming? First Mars mission "Exclusion Zone" second wave after dinkelbot allows sparrow use and alerts the cabal, 9 majors/ultras come out to play. Equip the glimmer booster for Mars, kill the ultras/majors leaving a phallanx alone to bash you to your death, repeat.

Ummm on the moon, shrine of oryx I think. The mission where at the end you let your ghost out underneath the big burning sphere thingy, only to have the boss (giant bluish knight)and some minions appear. If you just ignore the boss there will be constant spawning hive enemies, not nearly as fast as the loot cave did but the closest I've found since then...

If I need glimmer I'm going to run The Buried City. The last part has at least ten majors and takes like two minutes with good guns. Just don't scan that machine and leave then do it again. Should be 250+ glimmer each time. Seems quicker than get a couple glimmer a time.
