My connection is "Poor" constantly while playing the Crucible.
I have no visible lag during pve content like Strikes or Raids, but during Crucible matches I am constantly killed after I have gone into cover. Any time I can take shots, I can take enough to die even if I just peak out for a moment.
It's frustrating.
My router has no explicit "NAT" setting, but all PS4 ports are open. My PS4 is also connected to the router via a ethernet cable, so it's not even a wireless issue. I live in west coast Canada, so distance from the server farm is not an issue. I have next to no lag in any PC game I play (24ms Ping average, I'd estimate), but have no other online PS4 games to test my connection with.
Are there any tricks that could help improve my connection?
The vast majority of my deaths are a result of my ducking into cover when in danger not counting.

I have this issue as well on PS4 after this latest patch. Previously I was always green, but now it's been red all night. I've done some speed tests while playing and nothing is wrong with my internet or pings, gotta be something weird with their routing OR maybe the connection is fine and there's a glitch making it appear red, I don't notice any actual lag...

Hi ToxicToothpick, I'm sorry for the connection issues here. Can I have you try bypassing the router and connecting directly to the modem with your console? Or is your router also your modem (a single device common for DSL internet connections)? Here is our help article on this suggestion: http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12147 If you are able to avoid low connection when directly hooked up to the modem, this may point to router settings interfering with the Destiny network connections. In some cases, however, we recognize these issues may be outside of your control to resolve and we will continue to investigate these reports.

Yup, on PS4 and connection is always in the "red" when I play crucible. I too don't really notice a difference in PvE but in PvP, it can be really infurating to see alot of your shots hit a guardians but do no damage.

Edited by sKipper: 11/19/2014 1:33:47 PMSame here. From EU - Connection is 25Mbit - NAT Typ 2 - Testing PS4 connection is all fine - Ports are open as explained here with extra UPNP While loading a Map all is fine but as soon as the game starts my con switches to poor (red) Would be nice if someone from bungie could explain whats causing that btw.. playing BF4 shows me a good connection

Exact same thing here, I've only noticed it after the patch. No lag on other games or other parts of Destiny - just Crucible.
My connection is "Poor" constantly while playing the Crucible.
Same here BUT I noticed it actually being "Good" while matchmaking and loading. But as soon as the map starts, it just switches to "Poor". I was experiencing lag and shots not registering since the beta, but had no actual proof. Only since the last patch I can actually see how messed up all this is. I have local 30ms pings, 100Mbit broadband connection, NAT Type1, PS4 connected to the router via ethernet, and I therefore think this problem is probably NOT on my side. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Thank you! I have been having this problem for nearly a MONTH and you're the first person I've seen comment on it other than myself. For some reason, only Destiny ruins my connection. When I play TLOU multi-player, I run a perfect connection but in the Crucible, I did down to HALF A MEGABYTE PER SECOND. And thus has even been seeping into my PvE sessions, kicking me out of Strikes and Raids I constantly get error code "Bee" and have done everything to fix it but nothing works

Connection issues are on all the consoles. Was in a game earlier where majority of the other team was in the red and shooting anyone on our team with a "good" connection through walls on Blind Watch Friend said I apparently walked through a closed door on his screen. Vice versa and, as an orb, saw teammates trying to get the door to open only to drop dead and a few seconds delay, see it on the activity feed.

Pretty much the same thing for me, though the game drops with bee or baboon error codes. Takes luck and not even hitting the respawn button to be able to complete one match in the crucible. On xbox one.

Same thing is happening to me on xbox one.
