Weapon Responsiveness and Balance

I have to say that the gun responsiveness in destiny is superb. Just to clarify, I am referring to the delay between the squeeze of the triggers and the response within the game for both aiming and firing, as well as reloading and weapon swapping. I have played plenty of games where there is a minute delay in the response of the weapons and this makes it more difficult to become fully immersed in the experience (fallout 3, is an example of this). But Destiny's weapon responsiveness has been flawless in my experience, making for an excellent feeling of intergration between myself and the weapons. Also I have to congratulate you on doing an excellent job, on what I consider, probably the most difficult task in creating any FPS game. That is balancing the weaponry, I have used all the various weapon categories during play and have not found any category of weapon to superior to any other. Though what has been truly impressive is that each weapon category still retains its own feel and behaviour without becoming a homogenous collection of weapons, with the only significant difference being appearance. In this, Destiny has been incredibly successful, with each weapon category being distinctive of its group in both behaviour and appearance. So often in games there tends to rise a predominant weapon that the bulk of all players use, as it is clearly superior, but in Destiny I find that each gun provides no real superiority to any other category in its slot. This leaves the choice of weapon category upto the individual preferences of the player. I find myself favouring certain weapons due to their feeling and behaviour without ever feeling like I am choosing between the weapon I enjoy using and the best weapon. Even though my favourite primary weapon is the Auto Rifle, I find even after it got nerfed I still don't feel disadvantaged. Even though less effective at long range, this trade of self regulated fire rate for decreased effective range, has made the pulse and scout rifles actually viable, without feeling like I am trading control of my fire rate for no significant gain. I remember both in the beta and when Destiny first came out, thinking why would I use the scout and pulse rifles when I can burst fire and single shot with the Auto Rifle. Where as now I find myself deciding to use them when I desire to engage targets in long range gunfights, as well as changing how I approach engagements when using the Auto Rifle, which I still use alot. But at least now the other rifles have become viable and useful additions to my arsenal. So thank you for tweaking the Auto Rifle, it is a clear demonstration of your continued dedication to improve and enhance the gameplay of destiny. Peace
