Should Bungie Add Trading to Destiny? P2P/P2AI?
I believe that Bungie should add trading of items between Guardians, or adding a vendor who will swap it out (with added payments) for something which the player would like more.

19 RepliesEasy fix for all the comments. Player to Player trading costs no strange coins or motes, but the player must trade an item of equal rarity to the other player(Exotic-Exotic, Legendary-Legendary) so that players don't get scammed or feel they got the crap end of the deal. I also like the trading vendor, where you can choose an item of equal rarity to swap out for(Vendor has all items except raid and bounty items), but at an additional cost(10 strange coins for a weapons swap & 10 motes of light of a armor swap).

1 ReplyThe cryptarc should have a used gun section too where you can get an exotic for half price. So let's say you go there to buy "fate of all fools" and it's 23 coins new, however if you buy a used one it would be 12 coins however being that it is used it would be missing an upgrade meaning you would have 1 less damage or lose 1 perk

4 RepliesHow's this. Equal rarity trading. For Christmas weekend only? U have to buy a Santa hat for 10 strange coins. That gives you access for the event. U have to be in the same fire team and u have to trade legendary for legendary exotics for exotics. With a 5 trade limit. Meaning u can trade 5 times that weekend. That way aloy of people would be hitting it early finding others and telling them to plan. It'll get increasingly hard as people run out of trades. Good idea or no? 3 days of trading

Then everyone could have every weapon and that takes all the fun AND point , out of RNG . the biggest thing about this game that keeps me coming back is the hope of me landing an excellent drop . Not much point in playing if you can just swap or buy off Johnny No Mates and get anything you want . P.s there should also be a limit as to how many Exotics you can carry . Max of 7 I think . Each time you get a new one you have to lose an old one back to the game world . That'd make the game more interesting too .

Yes because then I would be able to actually interact with my friends. It would help with leveling up and getting your fireteam closer together.

Trading of any kind would would ruin this game completely..everyone would have everything, what would be point of playing if u could get it from a friend or clan mate who grinded for days or weeks??..

It would only be doable if you couldn't trade raid items.. Or you have to beat the raid on the required difficulty to allow that item to be traded to you.

I believe that trading should involve the trader's items lose all level progress when traded to keep it fair. The random loot system requires players of different classes and levels to trade because farming the same spot over and over is a pain in the ass. The game is about customizing your character which is impossible without trading and acquiring items from others that you couldn't get in the one certain way destiny set it to be.

This game honestly doesnt have enough items in it to require trading.. Trading will only become useful when bubgie decides to drop a 200 gun/armor dlc down

If they do they should add a like some sort of mission or raid that gives you new specific trading gear for the trades.

Well think about it someone could trade something horrible that looks good and then they are left with a crap weapon. Some time later, someone is gonna find out how to glitch the system and not spend motes of light, glimmer, etc. Who else agrees?

Method 1: reward trading During vog you all get a reward, what if you could trade 1 for 1 items from your reward with others in your team but only before progressing to the next area Method 2 : friend trading Allow trading between people but only if they have had the person they want to trade with on their friend list for at least 2 weeks, that way friends will be able to trade and it wont mess up the economy. Either of these methods could be implemented separately or both could be used at once.

Totaly speculating here but, My guess is they wont implement and have not implemented it because a trade system they developed already was created with too many bugs that can be exploited, perhaps for example a duplication problem or deletion problem. I mean VOG is still riddled with bugs, amd that is the only endgame activity, even tho it actually barely ties into the story since u basically beat the vex in the black garden. I cant even imagine how blam'ing bugged the trade system would be. But hey pay your money now for the latest dlc and get a brand new bugged raid that we wont fix and will still have the same crappy loot system as before. I cant imagine how a trade system would be handled that glitches and duplicates one players mythocast in trade to give the players buddy one and the player gets to keep their orignal... all the while the next trade just completely deletes both items being traded and both players get screwed. Not to metion all bugs are more or less exploits to the creative minds of players. And that point is not speculation at all. Look at VOG, didnt take long for players to exploit bugs in there. And if you noticed only the bugs being exploited that alowed you to clear VOG quickly and easily were fixed. Basically we are stuck with what we have. It would be nice to actually have some kind of response to the tirade of endless large problems within the game before the dlc launch. Perhaps just an acknowledgement, tha 1. They recognize said problems listed A-Z, and 2. Here is our actual plan to deal with them in what order we will deal with and as well as 3. Here is a list of shit we dont care about and will never fix.
