Brace yourselves, The Last Word nerf incoming
Since everyone has The Last Word now, we can now assume that people will by crying about how OP it is in the Crucible.

I just dont understand why its full auto. They should just mate the rate of fire quite high but make it so that you actually need a good trigger finger to utilize it properly. Full auto just makes it the perfect noob weapon.

5 RepliesNaw it's not that everyone has the TLW, the problem is that Bungie buffed all the hand cannons making the Thorn a pretty usefully but made every other hand cannon OP as heck. Bungie really can't balance anything properly in Destiny.

1 ReplyYou know, I've been thinking a lot on the whole idea of "nerfing" weapons and here is my take on it: They should have 3 different "types" of Crucible: Normal, Iron Banner, and MLG style and my summarizations for each: Normal: As is where people can take their "unlocked" weapons/armor and fight with them. Adjust a few things to be more balanced but allow more customizations IRON BANNER: If it's what they say it will be then I will be happy but only time will tell MLG (major league gaming): To make sure that EVERYONE has the same starting weapons and ONLY those weapons are allowed in the match. This will appeal to all of those that just like to hunt and shoot and not worry about Supers, abilities, Exotic weapons, etc. Everyone will have the same health/shields/speed/etc. They could call this "basic firearms training" or something like it for those that are just starting out and getting used to the game. Hell even Plants vs Zombies Garden warfare had a "starting playlist" time so that those who hadn't already played 100+ hours and unlocked everything had a chance to kill someone else. My major complaint with the Crucible is that there really isn't much variety in play lists. It's either Rumble pit, 3v3 slayer, 6v6 slayer, or 6v6 Domination. They should introduce a playlist where everyone is equal (but still LOOK like their equipped character if they had a cool look they liked) and maybe a capture the flag game type or a "bomb delivery" game type.

5 RepliesThat's pretty unlikely. TLW is functioning as intended - it's the best handcannon at close range, but is pretty average at mid range where you have to slow down to hit your shots. Suros really does need a nerf because it's the default best choice, with the best time to kill, stability and range in class. Bungie's philosophy is that balance is achieved when a gun has strengths and weaknesses; Suros has no weaknesses, so it isn't balanced.

I suspect that if Bungie ever nerfs another weapon they will not announce it but rather just nerf and move on and save themselves the explosion of hate on the forums that will be the result.

Na, think we'll be okay this go around. Didn't get a tlw, but they don't seem to around too much. Probably because it takes a little more skill to be good with hand cannons

I can't imagine why anyone thinks the gun needs a nerf... Is it because you can get killed with it without head shotting? Baring head shots you can't even gun down more then one guy.

Nah alot of people had high hopes for TLW and were let down (Just takes skill and some gettin use to) I played alot of crucible to get some points amd only like 1 person had it every game.

Well, it's not like the gun requires any sort of accuracy and precision at close - mid range with the full-auto option. But it's not like it's the only gun that kills quickly
