This is a mission for the March DLC. And the boss is there. Enemies spawn there. It's a finished mission.
Don't even try to deny it. It is a FINISHED boss fight.

So... obviously he's a placeholder. Every strike boss has had its own unique appearance (For example, compare the Archon Priest to, say, Draksis, or the Archon Rising dude in the Cosmodrome that has a chance of spawning for target kill missions, or Phogoth to normal Ogres). For another thing, there was no special animations. Literally the dregs just popped into being behind the player when he walked out of the room to trigger their spawning mechanic. The boss, too, just blinked into existence - not in a specific spot, either, but in some random corner. It could be explained that the Ultra Captain was just a miniboss, like the Devil Walker in the Devil's Lair strike. But the complete lack of special effects on even basic levels doesn't sound to me like a finished encounter, or finished part of the game period. And let's not forget how the dude got in there to begin with. You think that maybe one of the reasons why Bungie didn't put it out was because people could do THAT and break in? Face the facts; this is UNFINISHED. Yes there are pieces in the game, but that's all they are -- PIECES. And pieces do not make a whole.

Boss fight? Placeholder. Finished? Didn't know finished content had random floating textures and shapes. Content? Other than a placeholder boss and a few random spawn Dregs, I see nothing. Yes the content is on the disk. The area is obviously there. Obviously unfinished as well. Perhaps a placeholder for future plans. I'm not happy with Destiny at this point, but this doesn't prove anything other than there will be future content.

He is a boss, but more like a slightly bigger captain with a little but more health. Its more likely it's a story mission mini boss. Probably have to look for something in that room, or just pick something off its dead body.

7 RepliesIt's not at all finished. Materials are not close to being done, same for lighting and overall geometry. But the real giveaway is the placeholder "boss". If it's named super capitan (actually an archon) then I'm 99.9% sure that's not the final name. And also the entrance is locked. Bungie even said they are on the disk and they have placeholders. Stop overanalyzing everything and blaming bungie

This isn't the strike it's more than likely a story mission, but I went there myself and about everything is finished. There's another easier way than this. The glitch is only needed to get past the closed doors to kings watch, otherwise this area would be 100% playable

5 RepliesIt's not a boss ass hat. Do you really think Bungie would name a BOSS mob "Ultra Captain"? Especially since every single BOSS mob in Destiny Has a Name to it. Like Raksis or Septkis. Also look at the shit the guy has top do to get there and make it spawn ( which if he gets reported to Bungie for doing it can get banned from the game), it plain to see that it is not finished yet. Go back to CoD you turd burger, and stop crying about spending your mommy and daddy money.

Ya that was far from complete... Wow I have been a critic of Destiny from on the in set but my intentions were to push towards a better game. This shows the development team was planning the future but nothing more. To use this video as a means to prove content was with held is laughable at best and frankly stupid.

Look at the amount of FPS drop he was experiencing at the end. That enemy wasn't a boss, but rather an ultra enemy. The area still clearly has work needed to be done on it, poor textures being the most visible.

More idiotic. Dude says, "It's already in the game, they charging extra for the game" Meanwhile, he's basically in a wireframe area, with vacant lots galore. But one captain and three Dregs symbolize that the entire content is on the game? In other news, they call them placeholders. But explaining that could possibly make the ignorant even more ignorant instead of the desired effect But oh yea, the Captain is a boss and you young gamers just eat all that up.
