The reason I keep playing: A shoutout to the Dads of Destiny

Despite my occasional complaints, I do enjoy this game, but until last night I wasn't entirely able to put it into words. Last night, one of my friends (a Dad of Destiny, it just so happens) was trying the weekly heroic with his son. I saw that it was just the two of them, and figured that I'd pop in and lend a hand. Not a moment too soon, as it turns out. They were on the ropes and I was able to provide the extra fire power they needed to get through it. Later on, we tried the Nightfall together. Turns out it was their first time doing a Nightfall, but they handled it magnificently, both the dad and the tyke. The best part though, was seeing the rewards. They got Gjallahorn and Universal Remote. I got a legendary scout rifle (a New Monarchy model that seems awesome), but I didn't feel jealous or cheated. No. I felt incredible. I had helped my friends get some great stuff, and I helped a father and son end the evening on a good note. For that evening, I felt like a Big Damn Hero. This is what a Guardian is suppose to feel like. To Acoustic and his kid, thanks for making my evening awesome. To the Dads of Destiny, you guys all rock if you're anything like him.
