I noticed this when doing the Chamber of Night mission on the moon. When you get to the Temple of Crota and the Stranger contacts you if you look closely you can see the Titan corpse you find in the first mission?
Seriously WTF, we don't get a burial or anything? Seriously considering defecting to the Darkness, I hear they got great benefits.
Worst part is that the Speaker could tell me why we get no burial/benefits but he doesn't have time to explain why he doesn't have time...
Anyone else wonder what kind of retirement plans us reincarnated super soldiers get?
At best: nothing
At worst: a bullet to the head, because we're too likely to go to war with each other.
Most Guardians get treated with respect. They get a burial and ceremony that honors years of heroism and service. The Guardian outside of the Temple of Crota was an asshole. We were sent to either make sure he was dead or shut down the meth lab he was probably setting up on the moon. The Speaker wants his corpse to rot right where it is. In fact, feel free to tea bag the bastard.
-
Ew, I ain't touching that. Probably got molested by a couple hundred Thralls.
-
"There's nothing left." "Not even the light." Bury what? His armor?
-
I bet the darkness has time to explain. Lol.
-
Yeah lol I noticed that the other night
-
The thousand dead astronauts littering the lunar surface don't seem to mind. They even managed to decompose in a vaccuum. That is some next-level corpsing.
-
Well every guardian was previously just a random corpse laying around somewhere till their ghost used a random number generator to decided they would make a good guardian.
-
yes! join the Vex! we'll turn you into one of us. we'll even let you pick your paint job! you'll never have to sleep or use the toilet ever again! and if you get injured, we just repair you! you can network into anything, and get internet anywhere! we can even reward you with promotions to the Axis! mull it over you know?
-
Wasn't it the time traveller that said she didn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time? Or do they both use that line?
-
You know we guardians are an evil race for the traveler right?
-
This also bothered me from day one, especially because we revive his ghost who just -blam!-s off without checking if he is OK or possible to resurrect...
-
We put them in mass unmarked graves
-
Lol I have been thinking the same thing. Why don't guardians bury their fallen. Instead of just leaving them where they drop like litter.
-
Guardians are zombies, their bodies don't mean much considering that they were dead to begin with. You should be mad at the traveler for desecrating your corpse to begin with. Their deaths mean they have gone back to peace... If the Hive doesn't suck out their souls or the Vex doesn't toss them into a random point in time for them to endlessly wander (and possibly never die).
-
Bitch please who gonna shoot me the speaker? Come at me bro.
-
I'm still trying to figure out why I was dead to begin with and just how long I was dead..
-
Everytime I visit I pay my respects with a few tea bags for the friends that quit Destiny.
-
Next time you die and your ghost is doing that orb respawn animation. Look for your lifeless body after about 5 seconds your body vanishes much like the sparrow when it sits idle for to long. Are we even real?
-
Look closely is a warlock
-
There's dead guardians all over the moon, I can't remember where exactly but there's a three man fireteam that was killed on the surface, infact dead guardians are in most of the places we can go,
-
Notice the Sword next to his corpse.
-
Ghosts don't care for the guardians. They just make us the living dead to guard them so they don't die.
-
I just find it funny that it was a Titan that was left lol.
-
Don't worry, the thralls will clean that up.
-
Considering most guardians die due to overwhelming enemy numbers, it would be fairly hard to retrieve their corpses, even though they can be revived easily.
-
Doesn't your guardian say "There's nothing left". So wouldn't that mean all that we see is the shell of armor (and it's already partially buried).
