Raid is losing it's fun factor
Well the Raid is losing all it's fun for me personally.
It's becoming all too much frustration
Spend time on the forums and Destiny LFG to find a raid group. And it seems every group is at Atheon checkpoint. No one does it from fresh anymore.
Then go in on hard mode with total strangers who are struggling and falling apart for hours stuck at Atheon.
Random teleports screw everyone up, it's total chaos , nothing gets accomplished
Maybe just maybe we finally get lucky and get Atheon to 1/4 health and then a glitch or another random teleport puts weaker players in and .....wipe
If after all those hours you finally get Atheon beat and get lucky on hard you still get screwed and get energy and a ship.
It's becoming a giant waste of time. I don't care about comments. I don't care what "get gurd" responses come. I also don't care if people say "fine leave go".
I'm reaching the end of my enjoyment. I've been hoping to get something good from the raid but the rewards just don't equal the work put in. I'm not asking for handouts, entitlements and blah blah about this generation of gamers wanting everything without work.
[b] But this is a game. Games are supposed to be fun. I'm losing my fun slogging through forum matchmaking, struggling raid groups, terrible Bungie raid glitches and RNG for the great raid. [/b]

In the end after 5 hours I only got shards, this was my 6th time doing gatekeeper and I am yet to get anything good the best I've gotten was the pulse rifle which I guess is....alright, today I spent 3 hours doing confluxes, oracles, and Templar and in the end I get once again....shards. I've also never gotten an exotic from any of the raid chest and have gotten my class item 4 times, from atheon (which I only do on normal now since hard isn't completable after the patch) I've gotten chatter white 6 times in a row and the luckiest drop I've gotten is the vision of confluence. In the end I'm tired of this RNG I haven't seen a legendary engram in weeks, and I'm annoyed. The thing that gets me the most mad is the crucible when I come on top most games and don't get anything and the guy at the bottom gets a legendary I think it's stupid and needs to be fixed. I'm not gonna lie though destiny needs to drop their dlc right meow because running the same stuff over and over gets boring. 3 RepliesYa the raid is most def losing its fun factor. I have completed raid at least 15~20 times and I still cant get my boots for hunter. Gotten gloves 5 times, helm 4 times and chest too many times too count!

I'm in the same boat....I really like this game and want to keep playing but it's becoming frustrating...if your on 360 add me...I don't muck around in the raid and have other good members that understand they r in a team....I just play crucible mostly ...the raid is getting old but all I need is a chest or helm

6 RepliesStop playing the game, and move on to something else The amount written about this game can more than likely fill a library , its like a meal that is constantly being barfed up again and again I reached level 27 and that is as good as it gets doing the grinding effort for nothing is very boring I did the raid once and that is it no reason to do it more times thou it would be nice to explore the vault but it's design prohibits that I'm on to cod aw which is a much more satisfying game play Will return to explore the available dlc since it was already paid for but I will not purchase any further content beyond that As I have stated before destiny was slick marketing and sucked everyone in to believe it was more than it was Happy grinding

12 RepliesEdited by Dyno: 11/26/2014 1:42:39 AMMy teams have been clearing VoG on hard. Everyone needs to know what to do and be able to fill any roll on a moments notice. Everyone having mic is a must but limit the idle chatter only share critical mission worthy info replace players that rant and big down chat with useless banter not related to the fast at hand. Also on hard I recommend no more than two 29's the rest 30's all weapons maxed. But for best results all 30's with maxes out builds. If your not 30 I recommend highly you run raid on normal until you get Raid; boots gloves and chest. Max them out with an exotic helm and bam! Your 30 and will have a much better time in VoG on hard. I'd have no idea what I was doing at that point. Hell, Ihave no idea what the other parts even are. Edit: Oh, and I have all of two friends who play, but it is nigh impossible to coordinate times with them.

7 RepliesI used to do the raid each week with a trusted group of friends. But after a month or so, they all got bored and traded the game in, so I just stopped going into the raid. The raid requires extreme coordination and teamwork. I can't imagine I'd ever achieve that with a group of strangers, and apparently bungie seems to agree since they continually refuse to put in raid matchmaking...

I've gotten screwed so many times by this guy I've only really gotten he helmet. Got a ship and a time breaker like 6 times

3 RepliesI think the best one (sarcasm) is beating Gatekeeper, getting loot then he respawns and you have to kill him again. Meanwhile they take away Xur's Heavy Ammo Synth and make soloing harder. Looks like someone has nothing to do bur screw over their customers.

2 RepliesYou must be doing it wrong. I run the Raid just for the fun of it. It doesn't matter to me if I run with veterans or n00bs, just as long as I get to run it - repeatedly. Maybe try to stop taking it so seriously. It's just a game after all.

Yeah the random teleports are annoying and they never fix the right glitches but I see why people don't wanna do it from beginning. I stopped doing it from beginning weeks ago when I got level 30 cuz there's no other point after I get the guns I wanted. I got the vex last week so now there's no point at all besides maybe getting another random exotic. Definitely won't be doing it for the fun of it because it's no longer fun. And no real point for me.
