Ok so I've done some testing in order to try and find the special Halloween sparrows. So far this is what I have: Using a jackolyte prompts Xur to offer a new item for one strange coin for purchase....the flight of shadows consumable. It does not matter if you cannot see it on your head the effect still occurs. The text on flight of shadows reads "Are you the dream of a sleeping God? Or the nightmare of a dead one?" This got me curious. I went to Shrine of Oryx to see if anything dropped. Results: nothing. Then went on Sword of Crota( beings that it's a bounty today). Results: nothing. Then finished it with Summoning Pits. Results: nothing. I did all these missions with jackolyte and flight of shadows active. I also allowed myself to die on Summing Pits to take advantage of flight of shadows, but still no results. Did not do this for the other missions. As an added note I went to every single vendor in the tower while both of these were active to see if there inventory changed, but no success. Even jumped off the tower to respawn with flight of shadows and still no change. These are my findings and testing Guardians. Hope this helps and perhaps you will have more luck than I. Please post any updates here so that we can solve this puzzle. Update: it is possible that the Sparrows are only available in the DLC the Dark Below. Apparently confirmed by a Bungie employee. If this is not true then please feel free to let us know how you obtained one. Appreciate all your suggestions and testing.
