Dang, seems this has been confirmed not to be in the game by a Bungie forum mod on another part of this forum. This was the kinda questing I had hoped would be in destiny, the kinda trail quest items leading to new things without being announced, allowing for some truly custom characters. Ah well. Thanks to all who helped contribute to this. As it's currently 8.33pm for me in Australia on the night of Halloween and I'm yet to see any conclusive evidence that these Sparrows exist and that I only have another 3 hours and 30mins left of Halloween to figure this out I'm posting here to seek assistance in this matter. Here's what I have seen from the internet. 1. There are apparently 4 themed sparrows, however no one claiming to have acquired these items have been able to prove it by having them active on a character (if someone can link me to a player that has these items, then by all means link me). 2. There is also a claim of an item that changes the default respawn animation, again, I have not seen this myself. Here's what I know. 1. Halloween themed masks from the Jackolyte item don't work visually if you already have the nightfall effect in place. However, the 30min cool down does take place on your character, tho the stated effect of scaring away hive does not work at all. 2. Jackolytes can be retrieved from major or general ranked hollowed hive enemies, most commonly the Knights. 3. Thank you to Cmagrum75. The respawn item is confirmed to work via his method here: "The flight of Shadows can be bought from xur for 1 coin when you have the jackolyte activated you can get a max of 5 per character As for the sparrows I have know idea yet" That's it... Without confirmation from Bungie, or any proven theory it's hard to tell if the other two items exits. I'm looking for confirmation here. Here is what I have attempted. 1. 1,000 kills on the Moon strike mission, activation of the Jackolyte x2 for an hour's effect to complete the kills while dodging Phogoth. (moon strike boss, exscuse the spelling) - NOTHING 2. 400 kills on the nightfall mission, while wearing the Jackolyte. Again, NOTHING. The guy that claimed this works, does not have the sparrow in his inventory. I don't want to link his account here as it may be a conflict of interest. However, if you claim to have said item, please set it as your sparrow and link it here... 3. Kills on the moon against hive while wearing the Jackolyte. Other than the occasional Jackolyte drop, nothing else has been found using this theory. I'm beginning to thing it's maybe another Playstation exclusive... but lets not go there. Seriously tho, Playstation and Xbox users unite to figure this one out, or Deej man, if your out there... throw us a bone here? Hello. Update: So it's now 1:47am and I'm pretty much ready for bed. Check my game history to confirm but here is all we have tried so far. All with the Flight of Shadows and Jackolyte buff's on... 1. Theory on the "god's" Did the Black Garden Mission On level 28. -Nothing Sepiks Prime (default mission) -Nothing Shrine of Oryx mission (hive black sphere thing possible "god") - Nothing 2. Nightfall -Nothing 3. Hint from item effect description about "awaking" the hive on the "dark beyond"mission. - Nothing 4. Level 28 stoy missions on the moon tested. -The Worlds Grave -nothing -Shrine of Oryx - nothing -The Sword of Crota - nothing 5. Tower Vendors. Trying to activate vendors in the tower with both the Jackolyte and Re-spawn perks active. - Nothing. Things to Confirm. 1. Hallowed Hive drop Jackolyte's 2. Using Jackolyte then speaking to Zur enable access to the 24 hr lasting respawn item, Flight of Shadows. Will continue this tomorrow, unless the update reveals something epic. Keep trying things people, see how we go.
