We just cheesed Atheon on Hard....

We did this cheese after spending over two hours on atheon (praetorian on Venus kept glitching and didn't want to die 9/10 times). And yes, I have done hard mode twice prior to this the legit way (post patch) and never spent this long on atheon. So you can see why we started doing this. :p Edit #4: To everyone asking how exactly it was done, I shall tell all! It's quite simple. In the beginning; hide. He should go right to the middle. Let him teleport and do his thang. When you get close to killing the last oracle have someone behind him throwing grenades (we had a Titan, but a Warlock will work as will). Try to get him going towards the right portal (Mars; future) as that's what we did here. When he went left (Venus; past) he would teleport back to mid. This has to been done within that 30 second window of "Time's Vengeance", because after that he will teleport to mid and teleport people. Make sure everyone else in mid and the shield is up. He will stand on the shield and when the shield is dropped he should fall. Edit #5: Added information to "Edit #4".   • Too many people complain about not getting loot from Aethon or other bosses that they want or need. However in my opinion they are just spoiled. Too many games are made today for the casual player who needs instant gratification. Imagine this, when I played "Everquest" there were 70 man raids and 1-2 pieces of loot dropped per each boss (4 bosses roughly). These 1-2 pieces were class specific equipment (usually) and were bid on with points accumulated by attending raids. Raids took over 3 hours easily to complete. It also took me over 1-2 months to get a piece of loot from a raid but when you did, you sure as hell appreciated it more. Last night I finally got my Vex and Raid Sparrow by "not cheesing" Aethon. We used a pickup group and it took us an hour on the final boss. Why? We were not use to working together and players did not understand some of the mechanics (not to mention bug problems). I complained about the random port fix too at first but as long as you have players who communicate it should not pose a problem even for pickup groups. I made a few new friends to raid with last night and I am glad it took longer than a cheese to beat. It just made me a better player.
