I just wanted to add some of my personal thoughts on the game so far. I know there's a lot going on with a lot of aspects of Destiny so maybe some changes will hopefully continue to be made for the better.
Maybe our suggestions as feed back gets read. Maybe it doesn't. Oh well.
I've played games ever since I can remember. A lot of them. Just like all of you guys. Atari. Sega. SNES. N64 Goldeneye. Gaming has steadily gotten more and more serious. I remember I used to play Counter Strike Source and Day of Defeat Source in CAL-O. I also remember owning noobs going 154-3 one time on Wet Work in COD4 MW on PC open pub. I can go on and on..
Anyway, a lot of good games have had my seal of approval, but with destiny I keep asking "why" and feel somewhat restricted. I feel that we're in the age of gaming that we should be in awe of everything. This game is basically Borderlands without the crappy graphics. It's a cool game, don't get me wrong. We all know there's some things to change. If the Creators of Destiny want our feedback, they should listen. If they don't, don't ask for it.
Why can't matchmaking be available to anyone on all events?
Example
I have yet to find a raid group of 6. Blasting the forums is ridiculous. Wouldn't it be nice to go to Ishtar Sink And go to Vault of Glass and see that little search monkey working? Easily find 5 other people, who, at the same time as you, are looking for a group to raid with. Maybe throw a filter on the search options in case you want only level xx or higher. Just a thought.
Why doesn't the outfitter have more shaders for sale?
Self Explanatory... (Customization)
What if we could add or take away our own game modifiers?
This is all about customization. Set the level difficulty along with the option to add or remove epic, angry, juggler, void burn and whatever else, to add more rewards for more experienced or more leveled players. It would definitely make the higher level players happy to create a strike with a crapload of rewards that are well worth the risk. Even if someone received 8 engrams as reward it's not like we'd get an exotic or legendary. Thanks to RNG. (I've had pretty good luck though, I guess)
Weapon skins or shaders would be cool.
Another customization feature. Gamers crave to be unique and stand out in their own way. Our character has to be awesome, right?
More patrol missions
Maybe add some variety to the patrol missions. Be creative. Maybe have a couple of tasks to complete a mission. It's not really a "mission" when you go into a dark corner on Mars and "scan environment" then BOOM. All of a sudden.. You're finished with the mission. Exciting, right?
I think the RSG is broken.
Okay, Random Strike Generator probably isn't an official acronym, but, I don't know how many times I've beat the Psion Flayers, Phogoth and the Nexus. And in a row, time after time. Had Phogoth 4 times in a row before. Lame.
I remember reading GamePro magazine also. They always gave a numerical score to each game they reviewed. Just some ratings that came to mind. Doesn't really mean sh!t.
Graphics 8/10
Sound 7/10
Gameplay 7/10
Story 5/10
PVP 6/10
Customization 4/10
Overall 6.5/10
Anyway I'm sure there's more ideas and suggestions out there. Just my two cents.
Later.
