Not many left, now.

After Bungie.next -blam!-ed up my experience of the internet for the next year or so, before I realised that #OffTopic was relatively safe from idiots, I have realised that there aren't many OldFomen or really anyone from pre-next. I mean, there are quite some intelligent NewFomen who aren't Desticles and actually respect the pre-next legacy of the site, but I mean what has this become. I miss the OldFomen. I miss the old angry rivalries between the Halo:3 and Reach players. I miss the outspoken people on the ODST forums and I miss the old Flood. Once a haven for sound discussion. Now the only safe haven for the remnants of pre-next people and the more intelligent NewFomen. I miss the number of unique Coups I would see splattered all over the flood and occasionally the Halo forums (you could tell which ones dabbled in the Flood, then :p). I miss you all, the dead accounts of funny guys and serious lore geeks which always made discussion about any aspect of anything interesting and engaging. Even the trolls were great because they actually brought some enjoyment to the forums and a smile to everyone's face. I know that I'm talking about an era of Bungie that is long dead, but I miss it so much. It was my only safe place for a long time and I'm sure a lot of you felt the same way. I'm sorry this had to happen, OldFomen. I'm really, really sorry. It's not coming back anymore. I guess we just have to hold off the influx of Desticles till the last OldFoman abandons his account in pursuit of a happier venture. Regards, Ghost.
