An informational post for all who care! There is a rampant plague of ignorance amongst not just the Destiny community, but all shooting game communities. Now, I'm not accusing anyone of being stupid. I'm simply trying to educate those who enjoy these games. Almost no one anywhere knows the difference between a clip and a magazine when referring to the capacity of a firearm. These two terms ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE. There is not one gun in Destiny (that I know of) that is reloaded with a clip. Literally every gun I've seen is magazine fed. For those who don't know the difference, a clip is a small, disposable strip of metal that holds cartridges to make them easier to feed into the gun. Very common amongst older guns, almost non-existent nowadays. Typically guns that used these had a built in magazine that could not be removed, and was required to be loaded by hand or with the assistance of a clip. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clip_(ammunition) A magazine is a detachable, but not necessarily meant to be disposable, device that is loaded with cartridges prior to combat to provide a faster reload. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but they are all called magazines, and nearly every modern gun uses them. EVERY GUN IN DESTINY USES ONE OF THESE. The only exception are things like the fusion rifles (which use a battery), rocket launchers (which just load the rockets), and handcannons (which use something like a magazine, but we don't have anything comparable in real life, so they may work differently). http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magazine_(firearms) I realize that many people just don't know the difference or flat out don't care, but you are flat out wrong by using the word clip! To those who learn from this, I don't ask you to become a crusader for this information, I'm just happy to educate you. To those who don't care, continue being wrong.
