THIS IS NOT TO START A GODDAMN CONSOLE WAR THREAD. Firstly, a note to ALL XBONE players. I was reading the Dark Below release notes and came across these lines: [quote]On December 9, The Dark Below — the first downloadable expansion for Destiny will arrive on all platforms. There will be all-new weapons and gear, story quests, Crucible arenas, a new Strike, six-player Raid, and more![/quote] [quote]Those on PlayStation platforms will gain access to an additional Strike - The Undying Mind - and more as an exclusive until Fall 2015.[/quote] [b]This means all consoles will get at least the Raid, however the ADDITIONAL content, so one tiny strike, will wait until next year.[/b] Now, onto my super-valid opinions, and questions, to Bungie. I am well aware of this million-dollar deal with sony for all these exclusives. However I can no longer justify having spent $200AUD on my Ghost edition and only getting the same as the limited edition, when there are still exclusives that I PAID for and have to wait for so long to get them. Don't forget your humble beginnings, Bungie, You grew your fanbase mostly with Halo, an Xbox exclusive, and most of your legitimate fanbase that were waiting for Destiny went and bought an Xbox One. So why was this million dollar deal brokered to Sony alone, and gave Xboners no alternative? We could have had something unique as well, to tie us over for the ENTIRE YEAR we have to wait for all these timed exclusives. How can I justify spending $200 on a game that has deliberately with-held content so they can jump on the DLC money making bandwagon? Why don't we get at least a few dollars discount on everything that we lose out on content for? In the eyes of the players, we have been screwed over, do you honestly believe this is fair to us? [b]Remember the time DLC was about EXPANDING the story, and not filling in content that should already have been there?[/b] I'm going to go ahead and blame Activision for that one, because it never sat right with the spirit of Bungie. Throw us a goddamn bone here, Bungie. I've been quiet about the DLC up until now. I've patiently waited 48 hours to play due to your server update glitching out and completely uninstalling my game (and with my 'inferior' net, that's how long it took to download). I've put up with your random disconnects at the ends of strikes, in the middle of raids, as I'm about to win in Crucible. I've always chanted the mantra, "They're working on it. They're working on it. Bungie loves us, they know of our issues, and they're working on it" to my friends and myself. But now I'm starting not to believe that we are loved anymore. I don't think I'll bother with the DLC, even though I've pumped almost 200 hours into this game to prepare for it. Because I'll have Halo MC collection, and then next year when that timed DLC bull expires, I'll have Halo 5. The longevity of Halo has way-outlasted your '10-year-plan'. For a multi-platform game, you did a deal with the devils (Activision? SERIOUSLY?) and screwed thousands of people over. And we are NOT happy. And I do expect a legitimate response as to why you think disappointing your fans like this. And as an addendum - Xboners, it really doesn't help having comments like[i] "-blam!-ing greedy bastards you should give us the -blam!-ing dlc's for free we already paid for a damn whole -blam!-ing game. I won't buy your shitty dlc deal. Selling my destiny crap -blam!- you activision&bungie"[/i] (Took that one straight from facebook) make you look stupid and unintelligent. Don't do that.
