Charge same price, but give less content to Xbox One players? Shame on you.
Some business practices I will overlook. But by giving Xbox gamers 2 less strike missions than PS gamers(with the upcoming DLC Xbox will have access to 6 strikes, PS will have access to 8, so I imagine this trend will continue with the next DLC as well), you are basically saying "-blam!- you" to me, an Xbox player. No other problem with Destiny has rubbed me quite the wrong way as this move. Posting this will probably achieve nothing, but you should know that you've lost a fan.

I am happy with the game I got for sixty. Worth it. And fifteen dollars for another expansion sounds alright to me. Thats 3 packs of cigarettes if you smoke. 4 cans of dip if you dip. 3 fast food meals or one nice restaurant meal. I'll give that up for more gameplay. Who cares if Playstation gets more? Sony paid more. Everyone has been crying about it. Who cares, pay or don't pay. Just stop being jelly

1 ReplyOk you guys did get screwed with the year wait but its not like the information wasn't out there that this was how the exclusives would work. You eventually do get all of the content that PS has. You just have to wait a year to get it. Arguing for a discount because you have to wait is wasting your time. If they give you a discount then PS users are going to demand a discount every time an XBOX timed exclusive drops which will in turn have Xbox players complaining about how unfair it is that they have to pay more for the same content as PS players get later. See how quickly the circle turns. The only thing that you can do is not buy the DLC. I personally do think that a year is too long too wait and I wouldn't do it. In fact, I probably would have skipped Destiny altogether if I was on XBOX and played some other title. That way I could have my fun and not feel jilted in the end.

What bothers me is exactly this topic states. I don't even recall one other time where a developer took away gameplay, that is already ON DISC no less, part of the game for all except for a catering platform(s). Even Call of Duty releases content equally, Xbox just gets it 2 weeks earlier, which means everyone still gets the same amount of content for the same amount of money at a decent time gap. I don't care about the platforms. That is wrong no matter how you view it. America especially is a capitalist nation that understands this; you buy something, and you get what you pay for. What happened to that? Bungie, you were the best, and you haven't messed up a lot. Make this chance you have count and maybe you'll have your world domination back. Think about it. I'm not expecting you to live up to how godlike Halo was and I am not saying you suck or you are the worst. All I'm saying is things could be done better. I know Activision is also a reason Destiny is different. It's the reason posts mentioning them having anything to do with Destiny's final product gets taken down anywhere and anywhere. There's no way you guys would do this intentionally on your own costing you one of the best lead writers ever. Something isn't being said.

2 RepliesI called GameStop for an explanation on the dlc, they sold me on the expansion saying a new planet would be released with each dlc. I called them explaining this and was given a discount on buying a new game. Why does GameStop have to pay for a mistake made by developers? I feel cheated and lied to and would like an explanation as to why bungie allowed this information to be publicized and sold with their product.
