Exotic Bounties Idea...

Since everyone is on this kick lately bitching about exotic bounties, "Make them PVE only!", "No, make them PVP only!" I've came up with a better idea. I will say that I hate PVP, and do not like having to do the matches to get the weapon I want. Though there has been some decent ideas, they don't fix the ultimate problem. Here are the examples: "Leave them the way they are." Well this just defeats the purpose because it doesn't help either the PVE/PVP players. "Make only exotic bounties either PVP or PVE specific." While this would slightly help, it would still suck if you wanted a specific weapon and it was what you don't like to do. So here is my ULTIMATE idea. Make it to where every exotic bounty had PVE OR PVP missions. My example: Part 1. Get 500 Hive kills on heroic level 28 missions OR get 500 points of fire damage in the crucible. Part 2. Do five strikes without dying OR get five precision kills in the crucible without dying. Part 3... Part 4... Etc... Etc... Hopefully by now you get the point. This should hopefully fix everyone's problem with the exotic bounties. If you don't like my idea, well you're just looking for something to bitch about.

  • Jesus -blam!-in christ, stop complaining and learn to play. It's exotic, is supposed to be difficult, if you can't accept the challenge then go play another more proper game to you, like hexic hd or viva pinata.

    • Everyone who complains about sucking in the crucible....just needs to get better. If you suck at something do it more and get good. Crying about it has turned into an American culture. Stfu

      • Exotic bounties should challenge you. Asking for a choice of activities defeats the purpose. If you can't do pvp then you don't get the gun, just as if you can't do pve you don't get the gun. Tired of people complaining about this.

          • I'm a really horrible PvP gamer, and whenever I get an Exotic Bounty; I get excited.... for about three seconds. Because I've played enough of Destiny to know that there will be a ridiculous PvP requirement that will continue to punish me for my lack of ability, skill, etc. Currently I have three Exotic Bounties in my inventory, all of which are at a PvP stage. None are remotely close to being completed. Why? PvP. Even if I'm lucky enough to get a kill, I'll die three times in a row right afterward, completely negating everything I've done. I hate PvP. Always have. It can be fun when you are with your friends and all laughing about how Charlie keeps running into shotgun blasts, or how Mike can headshot someone without aiming. That can be fun. However, when you really want a cool weapon and you have to jump through this hoop that keeps taunting you relentlessly..... it's just annoying. It's the reason I stopped playing for awhile. I do have a suggestion for the Exotic Bounty system, and since I couldn't find out how to relay it to Bungie directly, this will have to do. Just have an item available to purchase from Xur that will progress the Bounty to it's next stage. You can grind PvP if that's your thing, or circumvent it entirely.

            • I think exotics need some patching. They aren't really that good. My biggest suggestion, that prevents game breaking, is to give them one HUGE perk. Not damage output. I like the passive abilities a lot. However, most are underwhelming. Let's make the Irving producing much larger-- I don't see a different with my warlock other than the first kill giving 1 extra orb to team. They need to introduce more elements to primary weapons-- there's a general suggestion. They should do one HUGE perk plus two casual perks per exotic item. Elements would just be an addition, not one of the three perks. I would also like to see randomization. There's no point in attempting bounties when they're the same exact weapon. If I could gamble the perks, I would continue pursuing them.

              • While I understand everyone's hatred of these quests, this game was never billed as just PvE or just pvp. It's a delicate intertwined game involving both aspects of play. I came into playing destiny having never been a very good pvp player, and thorn was my first exotic bounty. I complained to myself some and my buddy some but I put my head down and hot into it, and I actually improved in pvp and completed the bounty. Now I'm not saying I'm a great pvp player, but I can actually hold my own in most games.

                • I had about the same idea. When there's a step that has a pvp requirement, make the game have a 2nd bounty item that can be grabbed instead, such as... Thorn: Get 500 points with Void by killing Guardians in the Crucible, gain 5 per kill, lose 2 per death; could make a pve version something like... Get 500 points with Void by killing Majors/Ultras (perhaps only a certain race), gain 5 per kill, lose 2 (or even 5-10 since its pve) per death.
