Everyone is seemingly pissin and moanin about the content. I'm all about endgame. I would pay $20 for nothing but the new raid alone. To me, the three story missions are a bonus. I also STILL enjoy ALL the strikes. (I'm ps4, and get to enjoy the 6th so maybe that helps to keep things fresh.) So getting two more is yet another bonus. Personally? I can't wait for December. Friggin jazzed to get another raid in the mix. The leaked gear (if it's legit) also looks pretty dang sick.
EDIT: Also, new legendaries and exotics are very exciting. Remember these are weapons and armor that aren't made blind like the first wave of exo's. Now they have game data and community feedback to build on. These new items are gonna be legitsky.
In addition, people are whining about only three story missions. Remember that all content is STORY content. I remember playing through the storyline the first time and hearing my Ghost after infiltrating the Ishtar Archives say he found something referencing a Vault of Glass. And I was all, "That sounds cool. Wonder what it is." Spoiler alert, it's the raid. When striking, stop shooting everything that moves for a second and listen to the dialogue. The story is there, just take the time to appreciate it.
EDIT 2: Thanks Elusive for sharing this link. This an interview with Bungie from Eurogamer where they talk about using community negative feedback to the launch story in particular. They've integrated that feedback into the new content and it sounds pretty exciting. See for yourself: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-10-29-destinys-first-expansion-the-dark-below-takes-aim-at-story-criticism
EDIT 3: Here's a thread for people like y'all. Lists good ways of making sure your feedback is noted. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/75962694
EDIT 4: Here's a link to a video (posted below by MongrelShadow14) of at least some of the interior of the new raid, Crota's End. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx-rGW7VY2M

I not only bought the DLC once and am excited to get into it. Im gonna buy it a second time on a second account just to support bungie and piss off the "dont buy the DLC" haters. Just cause i can
-
Yeah I totally agree, in fact I'd pay £20 for a new Raid alone.I'd go as far as to say that the next expansion should have 1 mission, no strikes and a new costume for the Cryptarch and should be £30.And btw I am in no way affiliated with Bungie or Activision;oh no,not me...
-
Meh. This content has been worked on for months by the same team that brought you... Destiny. I'm going with guarded neutrality. I've already paid for the dlc but don't see the point as I do not play PVP, and three story missions aren't going to explain any of the major plot points. I have guns. What I don't have is exploration and discovery. In other words... I don't have the marketed version of destiny and this dlc won't be providing it. But if you like running down hallways and blasting stuff that's cool... Just more of the same.
-
I'm with you. Very excited for the new content. Nice to see some positivity around here.
-
I agree I stoked for it can't wait
-
This post is humorous. You can't honestly be happy about the lame DLC that is coming. It is not going to do anything fort his game. Its still going to be the same lame rinse and repeat game that it is now...
-
DLC content looks great........ Said no one ever!
-
I won't be sailing on the good ship destiny. Honestly the whole game is starting to look like a very cynical cash grab. The community is also extremely toxic and giving an opinion (favourable or unfavourable) just leads to abuse. All these platform exclusives are a clear indication that bungie will just want to milk as much money as possible, while providing very little content.
-
+1 Can't wait for the Raid! Woot woot!
-
activision stock has dropped over 25% since the release of destiny....the more money they lose...the less goes into destiny....enjoy the game now because the dlc is going to be worse...not better
-
Yea i'm looking forward to it. I'm really expecting the next one to be bigger than this one. This DLC feels like its a time filler for while they prepare for a massive update. I could be wishful thinking though.
-
God what the actual f*ck is wrong with you people? I'm excited for the DLC too, I'm all about my endgame content as well. Seriously, don't like it, don't buy it and get the hell off the forums and break your damn disk already.
-
Also, anyone else think the Titan raid armor coming out looks in-freakin-credibly badass?? http://www.bungie.net/en/event/darkbelow

Destiny is the best game ever hands down.
-
Hahahaha another smug ps player posting about how excited they are. Eat a bag of d's

I already got the seasons pass, but think about it. Most other dlcs are 15-20 dollars, and the offer you 4 or 5 maps and a few other new doohickeys. Destiny offers you 3 new maps, a raid, a new strike, and a good few new weapons and armor(doohickeys). A raid and a strike will take a lot more time to master and get tired of than a few multiplayer maps, and you get 3 multiplayer maps. Seems likes good deal to me. People are just mad because they think Destiny lacks content, despite the probable 50 hours or so it will take you to fully best the game. Not to mention the 3 missions to add a little more gameplay.
-
Everyone needs to stop comparing this dlc to COD and battlefield or titanfall. Those dlcs are a huge ripoff for only maps. As they say 2 wrongs don't make a right. If you compare this to bl2 dlc that was only $10 you will see this is way over priced: Bl2 dlc (10-15 missions, new items, totally new area, 1-2 new raid bosses) Destiny dlc (3 missions, 1-2 strikes, 1 raid, new items) They seem to be pretty equal since the destiny raid is obviously much bigger and more complicated than a raid boss from bl2 you can take that and make up for the fact there are almost no missions in this dlc. So since they are about equal it seems $10 would be a more realistic price
-
Looking forward to it as well.
-
yea i was pretty stoked about the DLC. cant wait till it comes out
-
I have one thing to say GO -blam!- YOURSELF
-
Cant wait, wish the crying babies would go ahead and get off the forums

Meth is a hell of a drug.

Well your easily pleased

says it all

Your comparing Destiny, a game clearly rooted in an MMO type of game, to say CoD or battlefield, games purely made for competitive multiplayer. Of course those games are only going to have 3 or 4 maps in their DLC, what would you expect from a multiplayer game? Destiny's "expansion" is little more then that. Compare it to Guild Wars or WoW. I know WoW is a subscription model, so maybe not that, but still Destiny's so called expansion, doesn't exactly expand. We get to revisit areas. Woo. We get new strikes taking place in old areas. Remember when everyone was looking forward to Titan and Europa in the DLC? Well too bad. This expansion is little more then a band aid to cover up Bungie's massive screw up.

If you think about it, most people will spend the time on the strikes and the raid. 2 strikes and one raid for 20 $ .....so 6 strikes and 3 raids for $60 assuming it follows this format for two more DLC's (hypothetical situation) Considering that's what most people are spending their time doing it's actually not bad bang for buck when compared to vanilla game considering the vanilla game came with 6 strikes and only one raid. But we also get the story missions and crucible maps. I'm looking forward to it.
