Okay, it's apparent by now that bungie like to leave loot collection up to chance. We can keep that but still have opportunity to swap duplicate gear or gear we don't like for something better. So how about a loot slot machine? You put in the gear or weapon you don't want and a few strange coins, pull the lever and get a roll at something of a similar level/value. Duplicate raid gauntlets? Put them in for a chance at another piece of the raid gear. Don't like bad seed down? Stick it in for a chance at another legendary primary. I think this would help with a lot of the RNG complaints and give something else to spend strange coins on if you don't like what Xur has to offer.
