I've loved Bungie since the days of Halo 2 LAN parties that lasted until 5 AM. I might be the odd man out, but when Bungie says things like they have a "10 year plan" for the game, I believe them. Issues with repetitive, money-grubbing DLC is an industry standard (and frankly, a huge problem), and I'm sure Bungie is bound to dabble in that. But I think that everybody is failing to realize that Bungie has created a great, robust game. The integration of online multiplayer seamlessly with your story progression is amazing as it is. And the constantly rotating bounties straddle the thin line between repetitive and dynamic really nicely. Nobody shows up just for the story, and nobody just does the Crucible. They've set it up so that everybody enjoys everything, and even if they don't take advantage of trying multiple classes, they'll definitely at least try out both subclasses. And let's be serious: do you REALLY think we're NEVER going to uncover more information about the Golden Age and people like Dredgen Yor? Do you really think that we'll never go into direct conflict with Rasputin? Do you really think Bungie isn't going to ever let us set foot on Mercury? The brief journey to the Black Garden and brief interactions with Exo Stranger and the Queen are just the beginning, appetizers to a long, many course meal. What we have right now with Destiny is a truly great game but it's just the tip of the iceberg compared to what we are getting in the long run. The promotional footage they used gave more hints towards that full iceberg, which I don't really fault them for. As long as they keep developing more content and enhancing the content we do have, then I am willing to toss in some extra money for some DLC. People are still playing this game a LOT and they are still having FUN doing it. And guess what? More content is going to be coming consistently for a LONG time! Do you seriously think the only parts we'll see of Earth are Old Russia? Old RUSSIA!? And I'm sure you've noticed that every class has a third slot for a subclass. I guarantee you that's down the pipe somewhere. Think about what a Void Hunter might be like. Get excited about that. Get excited about places we are bound to see, like Old Chicago or Mercury. Get excited about that fact that a sequel is not going to make this game obsolete anytime soon, and that nothing will compete directly with it. Bungie didn't deliver all of its promises at once and I'm okay with that. I'd rather get years out of a game than just a few months before the next one comes out. Most people buy a CoD game, pick up the expansion, and then within a few months inevitably just buy a whole new game and forget the old one ever even existed. Destiny is trying to create something new, something better, and sure they are bound to stumble every now and then but they're doing a damn good job at giving us a fun experience that I'm sure is going to last. So how about people stop complaining and, for once, focus on constructive feedback on how we can all make playing this game a better experience.

Dude please stop with this video. So -blam!-ing what? Did you finish the missions in that new area you found? Did you play the strikes that are going to be on the DLC? Did you find any new weapons in those areas? Did you kill any AI there? If your answer was no to any of those questions than the "DLC" isn't on the disc. Those are placeholder areas and that really doesn't mean shit in game design.

from a programming stand point, having an area programmed on the disk to then have dlc later is far easier than having you dl the whole content at a later date.. think about how much data is involved, millions of players attempting to dl the same huge file made larger with map areas needing to be dl as well.. with this in mind, consider that with the bad guys already coded and the area already coded and both on your purchased game disk, downloading spawn info is far less info and easier for servers which as we have all seen seem to be over worked as it is. I'm not going to stand her and tell you not to feel cheated out of anything.. feel how you like.. I've visited a number of glitch areas, do I feel cheated.. no. would I like more story.. yes.. will all these areas be opened with the next two dlc.. doubtfull.. if you understand what goes on with programming, you will understand what I am talking about here.. if you don't.. you can either take my word or not.. just like you have with this videa.

He's absolutely correct about everything he brings up in the game. Don't get me wrong. I love the destiny community, every player I have encountered thus far are great individuals who live the game as much as I do. Bungie has bite off more than they can chew. If the company thrives on player feedback and want to ensure their product does reach the initial 10 year plan then must and I repeat MUST LISTEN TO ACTUAL PLAYER FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIOINS THAT ACTUAL DO MATTER RATHER THEN PICK OUT WHAT BUNGIE SEES FIT AND EASY BASED ON THEIR OWN OPINION. Players know more about the game then bungie does. You have got to listen to the real issues. Not stupid and pointless issues such as pushing atheon off the ledge, but issues such as more content for the expansion pack especially for the price we pay. I get better content off COD and Battlefield for nearly the same cost. Hell I even get more content playing Runescape and I pay only $10 a month. They have updates every week! Monthly events, high score boards, hot fixes on a regular basis. I'm not saying Destiny is bad and bungie is doing a horrible job, all I'm saying is to listen to real suggestions and tackle issues that actually do matter. You must keep attracting your consumer to ensure your game lives on. Destiny has the potential to completely dominate the gaming world.

Oh man 27:55 you go on about some real shit about shitty devs limiting one console and favoring another. Overkill is by far one of the worst developers out there imo for what they did last year. The reason why is because of how they handled the console versions of Payday 2. Currently consoles have reached 2 patches - in a year and a HALF. PC is beyond 40 updates, stopped counting. But the thing is, Payday 2s big clincher was that it was Overkill's first disc release game. They mad hyped up the PS3 and 360 audiences that we would be getting a great game. I preordered because I loved the first game. My mistake man, my mistake. 1. The game was utterly (and still is) broken as shit. But to note, for the first 6 months we had a bug where all missions gave 1/4 xp. 2. The preorder DLC wasn't released on console until like I think June this year, an entire year after the game's release lol? not only that, anybody who preordered was basically effed off and were forced to pay for that one dlc. 3. Constantly ignore console players, and blame Sony/MS cert process, when let's face it, no other game goes through this. It's obvious they're either not trying, or pushing out the buggiest patches made by any developer literally ever. 4. Favouratism of PC players, adding 3 new characters, 10 dlcs, so much shit console will never get. - I have a pc, I could have got the game on pc, but I wanted to play with my friend, and for that I got boned. Oh and by the way guys... these assholes plan on selling us a "Crimewave Edition" on nextgen consoles with all dlc, while still ignoring the old consoles the game was originally for ;) ** Take it from me, don't buy this shit, you will have nothing but regrets. Bungie has me flustered, but Overkill takes my rage.
