Back when we were all still playing the Beta, a lot of people noticed a 3rd blank slot for Subclasses, and assumed that meant we'd have a third subclass for each of the three characters (Titan, Hunter, Warlock) in the final game. Unfortunately, we were mistaken. There is no 3rd subclass... at least, not yet. Perhaps it could be added in future DLC? Maybe... but I've been sitting on some rough ideas for some new subclasses for awhile, and I thought I'd share them. I'll be using the Xbox controller as an example in the descriptions, as I'm on Xbox; but those should translate to Playstation well enough. If you hope to one day be able to play as a Solar-powered Titan, a Void-powered Hunter, or an Arc-powered Warlock, here are some possibilities: [b]Vanguard Knight[/b] [i](Titan Subclass)[/i] [u]Light[/u]: [b]Solar[/b] [u]Super[/u]: [b]>>>Sword of Osiris<<<[/b] [b]Sword of Osiris gives the Titan a fiery, two-handed sword of Solar light, similar to the Sword of Crota; it's bigger, slower, and deals more damage than Bladedancer, and takes just as long to charge. Controls are similar to the Sword of Crota; RB for rapid strikes, RT for power attack, and RB + LB while active for a deadly ranged attack that completely drains the Super meter when used.[/b] [b]Vanguard Marksman[/b] [i](Hunter Subclass)[/i] [u]Light[/u]: [b]Void[/b] [u]Super[/u]: [b]>>>Voidlight Rifle<<<[/b] [b]The Voidlight Rifle is similar to Gunslinger; but instead of a pistol, it gives you a spectral sniper rifle filled with Void light. Much longer range, better accuracy, and higher damage than Gunslinger... but you only get 1 shot, and that's it. A hit on the target causes an explosion that deals AoE damage; this damage is magnified if the target is also killed. Can be upgraded to allow the Marksman to hover in midair when zoomed, or cloak when their Super is active.[/b] [b]Vanguard Electromancer[/b] [i](Warlock Subclass)[/i] [u]Light[/u]: [b]Arc[/b] [u]Super[/u]: [b]>>>Arc Magister<<<[/b] [b]Arc Magister grants the Warlock powers similar to the Hive Wizard; when activated, the Warlock gains the power to hover in midair and can move much faster, and can bombard enemies with Arc beams just like the Hive Wizard using the Right Trigger. When upgraded, the Warlock can also create a cascade of lightning using RB + LB, which drains the rest of their Super meter. This ability has a longer recharge time than the Warlock's other Supers.[/b] Well, that's all I got. Post your thoughts. [b][u]EDIT[/u]:[/b] Kudos to [b]SlateD56[/b] for some new ideas regarding the Hunter's new ability, which I didn't put as much thought into...

  • My biggest issue is that the Titan subclass you have is a close range melee attack, and Titans already have on with Striker (yes, I know, there are those instances where some guy figures out how to practically fly across a map, but its still considered close range). Logically, the third subclass is probably going to be a long range attack, like a beam of fire or something. As for the Hunter, there's a support class that's missing there, so I assume that there's probably going to be a sort of Hunter "medic" class that has a healing buff or something. But at the very least, some kind of support.
