Patrol missions are not worth the trouble, yet. That is what I'm here to propose. Guardians, don't you think it is time we have more incentive to run through a patrol mission? We can get Vanguard Reputation and complete a bounty or two but it is not enough. There needs to be a bigger reward for completing a Patrol Mission. Henceforth why not include a few Planet Resources at the end, maybe some Ammo Synthesis here and there, how about a Mote of Lite every once and a while?
Each planet has a resource. Mars is to Relic Iron as Earth is to Spinmetal, so on so forth. The point here is instead of running around in circles for a few hours farming for hundreds of the planet's resources why not include four or five at the end of a patrol mission? Guaranteed by the way, none of the Random Number Generation needed for this part. That would be a nice incentive. It would be faster then farming in circles (for the most part) and would allow players a larger variety of movement on the map instead of the same circle over and over.
Ammo synthesis as well. While running through a chest run Guardians have a chance of opening up a chest with a few Ammo Synthesis in it. Can that concept also be applied to a Patrol Mission? Maybe for every six Patrol Missions we get three of four Ammo Synthesis of any kind? A lot of us need to stock up on those and players enjoy the free option more than the spend Glimmer at a stand one.
This is a long shot but maybe Motes of Light (even Strange Coins) would be a wonderful addition to the reward to a Patrol Mission. Guardians need those and they are in high demand, so give us more options to get them.
Let me be clear this isn't a article on adding in new Patrol Missions it is simply one on how to get more and more people doing them; by increasing the reward for doing them.
A friend of mine hates doing these, not because they are boring (though some can be) but because he doesn't get enough out of spending time doing it. A lot of Guardians can agree with that and it is a shame. Hopefully we can get this resolved in the future because it would be nice to see some of these changes implemented.
