Constant Catipillar

Yep get them totally at random with no warning

I get them but only during certain actions

I don't have this problem yer crazy

I have been getting constant sudden disconnects from the Bungie servers on PS4. Does no matter where or when, just suddenly drops connection with catipillar error. I have port forwarded as directed but has gotten worse since last update. How many others have this issue?

  • Hi Prince! The CATERPILLAR error can occur somewhere between your console and our servers. As others have noted, services elsewhere may have an impact on how frequently you are seeing these errors. We've just updated our help page here: http://www.bungie.net/7_Error-Code-CATERPILLAR--CATTLE/en/Help/Article/11873 In particular, port forwarding is not a solution we recommend for this error. Instead, in most cases, these errors are temporary and geographically linked. These Internet conditions usually pass quickly, and the errors often go away on their own when this happens.

    • Gamertag: OncomingStorm17 TWC 30mb hardwired to my console Static ip and using google's dns servers Ports open I've had 3 errors consistently since I started playing. -"disconnected from xbox live" -"lost connection to partner services" -caterpillar These boot me to the title screen. I usually get disconnected every 5-20 minutes. It becomes [u]much[/u] WORSE IN THE TOWER AND PATROL. Like, 50/50 chance I'll get booted before I reach Xander or the Cryptarch. Luckily, and I hope this is useful info, I NEVER GET BOOTED DURING STRIKES. Not once, yet. Please, PLEASE help. I love this game, Bungie, all of it. Exactly what I've been waiting for. But a guy can only play so many 5 min sessions before he has to consider his declining sanity, ya know? If you need me to provide any more information, let me know either here or through my xbox live account, please. Thank you. -OncomingStorm17

    • Same issue on xbox 360 but with auto sign outs and occasionally hawk code mixed in with caterpillar. Everything was working fine before this weeks patch seems to be the theme.

      • I wish the poll showed number of votes instead of a percentage. But then the skittish investors would have some metrics to base their decision to sell Bungie/Activision stock I guess.
