just got turned down for hard raid,.
It wasn't because of my level.,
It was because I'm a hunter.
That,
That hit me right in my pride.
I'm going to go sacrifice myself to crota now.

It was probably because you're a hunter AND your level. You're a 28 which means you do a lot less damage and can be one hit killed from hobgoblins. Add to that you don't have any easy to use skills (self res or bubble) and most people will see you as a burden or unproven. Not saying you're useless, but being a low level hunter means you have to prove yourself, and maybe they don't have time for that. Personally, once I hit 29 (and now especially that I hit 30) my hunter has never been turned down from a hard raid. You just keep on keeping on.
